I always buy my walking boots and outdoor clothing from Black's. Lots of choice and great quality. I much prefer a real shop where I can see and feel the quality of the goods before spending my hard earned cash on this type of gear.

Visited Blacks Tamworth on the evening of 14.03.2023. We were the only ones in the store at around 6pm with three staff members. The assumption in store seems to be that anyone visiting the store is likely doing so to steal something. Staff members stood within 4 feet of the changing rooms and watched every move. Unable to try jackets on in the changing room. What's that all about? Not one offer of help or question if we needed any. We are not all thieves!!! I used to love this store but it now has a very bad vibe.
A fair range of products. The sale was on and we got a real bargain. Staff were friendly and helpful
I visited the Tamworth store to purchase some kids' sleeping bags which I had checked out online. The store was tidy and well presented, and the staff polite and attentive They even remembered that I had phoned earlier to check what was in stock. They price-matched the deals I had seen online, including an extra discount, and checked whether I had noticed a display of discounted goods. I was very happy with the range available and the value for money. The final icing on the cake was a polite goodbye at the door!
Wanted particular flip top kids drinks bottles. Saw exactly what wanted on website. On visit, the shop didnt have item but really helpful staff ordered online in shop, for me, and was delivered free to my address before noon next day. What a first class service! Thoroughly recommend.
Had a really good experience at Tamworth store today, where I was helped by Taylor. He was friendly and keen to help me get what I said I was looking for. Tamworth store only loses a star because, in my opinion, the range of lightweight camping chair options wasn't great, but this store definitely has a good range of tents, sleeping gear, and clothing. Would recommend on service alone.
I needed to return a faulty camping chair, I must say the service was EXCELLENT, nothing was too much trouble, they even carried the chairs in from my car. I purchased online, and it turned out I bought from Millets, after Blacks were unable to supply, this was back in May, but no problem they exchanged for two new ones, and refunded on my CC immediately. My thanks to the Manager for his excellent service.
