We had a really lovely visit. The food was excellent and great value for money — well cooked, generous portions, and clearly made with care. There was a good range of drinks available; they were slightly on the pricier side, but honestly we didn’t mind at all because the service was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We’d happily return and would definitely recommend it.

I've stopped for a burger here before when I was just passing, and it was very nice. However, last night our group took advantage of the Thursday night steak special to mixed reviews from the lads. You cannot grumble at the price, £11.50 for a rump steak or £13.50 for a sirloin(although sauces did cost extra). In all fairness we did arrive just before the 7.45 pm last food orders(the kitchen closes at 8pm),and there was a very large party in already waiting for food. Despite this, the staff(especially the beleaguered chef),were most accommodating. The food did take just over half an hour to arrive, but again they were very busy. I had the rump steak which was OK but a little small in size. It came with chips, 2 onion rings and a small side salad. In all, the portion wasn't that filling. Another of the lads who had the sirloin steak found his too chewy. The steak meals were average really, but the lads who had the steak and ale pie and the king prawn risotto said theirs were bang on! I will come here again for food, but I won't be ordering the steak again. The beers are around £5-6 on average and they do a really nice pint of Estrella.

Tried this place out for the first time with my husband, dad and brother. It did not disappoint. Cute pub with nice outdoor seating, delicious food and excellent service from Jensen, the manager there! I would definitely recommend this place!!

First time visiting this pub after driving past for many years Decent beer, all sport on, cheap and tastey food Nice outdoor area and plenty of parking

The Unicorn is a good solid Robinsons pub. Great outside area at the back and dog friendly. We visited at the end of a very busy mother's day. Lamb shank was a winner and the fish and chips was average. Staff are very friendly. Pub is looking a little tired but a friendly atmosphere

In short, not enough staff resulting in long wait times and the 4 different meals which our table ordered were either undercooked or very dry. For people looking for a sports pub for a drink and a catch up, it might be alright. But unless there's a change in ownership or management we won't be returning and wouldn't recommend for a meal. On arrival, there's plenty of parking, all tables are well spaced and there's an area for check-in (for COVID restrictions). After that not a single staff member wore any masks or visors. There was a single one-way sticker on the floor as you enter and no other directions regarding how to navigate through the building so was a bit of a free for all. There's plenty of choice on the menu and the prices look pretty reasonable. We ordered 6 meals, 4 different dishes and we waited for well over 90 minutes, probably because they only had a small number of waiting staff working. I had the Chick Pea Curry Banquet which was OK at best and the bhajis were undercooked with uncooked batter in them. The naan was hard in parts as though it was stale, other than that it was alright. Other people had Sunday roasts which they said the meat was dry and the majority was left. Inside the decor was dated and not in a quaint way. The men's toilets were also extremely filthy and the smell was awful, it was clear they hadn't been cleaned in a while. The atmosphere inside was definitely old pub style with sports on the TV and 90s music playing the whole time.
