Only called in for a few pints. Proper old fashioned local pub with local people. Place hasn't changed in years & still has the great atmosphere it many years ago. Staff very friendly & helpful. Nice quiet beer garden with big TV at the rear.
Made a flying visit to this wonderfull street corner pub with loads of charactor and historic features.The locals lovely and welcoming a little gem.A decent pint of mild and nice staff.

There is nothing whatsoever to dislike about this pub. It's an absolute classic street corner pub of which very few survive. Add in great staff, customers and of course Holt's beer at wonderful prices that put city centre chain pubs to shame. I almost don't want you to go and keep it secret for the few, but get there and support a great pub.
Corner pub. Bar + back rooms .old cast iron range. Green tiles. 2 dart boards .beer and staff good.

Lovely little pub, i went here with my grandfather, and the bar staff were really attentive to him it's nice and warm and has a good amount of ales to choose from nice people in there too, i would definitely go back here again
A good holts's house good atmosphere good beer
Great little pub, with a smashing old interior. A wonderful pint of mild and a pretty good bitter to boot.
