   One of the few original pubs left in Bolton, full of character, however, abit too scruffy for me. I like that it's original but I think it needs a spruce up. They've spent a lot of money doing the outside up, which is great in summer or if there's another lockdown, but they need to spend some inside. Staff were friendly and helpful.

   Been enjoying my first Bolton pub crawl in 47 years. This old pub did not grab me. Ordinary pint of London Pride. Give it a go and make your own mind up. So close to Ye Olde Man and Scythe.

   What a nice surprise, The Old Three Crowns in Bolton has a secret garden. They've converted the back car park into an outdoor seating area. They've laid down fake grass, and put up a sturdy shelter covered in blue tarpaulin and added a number of picnic tables. They already had a small brick courtyard which has 2 large umbrella's covering a number of tables but this extra space provides much more seating. I was surprised just how many people it could hold. Speaking to the landlord he explained that, once able, they'll have bands on and plan to start serving food. The space is perfect for bands once some nice lighting is added.
