Decent pub in the town centre. It was still early so Sam had a cup of tea. I had an Amber by Wainwright.
Myself and my partner visited here in August 2025 for first time having passed many times. While it was ok it was very average cost me £37 for 2 meals and 2 pints. Didn't make me want to visit again.
This is a great place for real ale. Staff are most friendly. Also good for watching sport on the telly.
Ordered 10 chicken wings with sauce … wings came. Wet slimy all fatty not cooked properly .. no sauce .. told staff and returned the food .. all I got was I will tell chef ….. disgusting do not eat here
Gone down hill with the increase in prices. This is Bolton not the centre of Manchester. Staff used to be brilliant. But now one or two staff spoil the pub. Dashes of cordial expensive and charged extra expensive dash of coke if you don't want ice in your drink. This is the same cost for halves and pints. Cannot afford to take the family with 3 out of 4 members charged for expensive splash as well as increase in price of drinks.
Brilliant pub I drink/eat in there quite often, food is great and the bar staff are always warm, friendly and welcoming especially Stacey, Lea-Anne , and Katie !!
Excellent selection of real ales and lagers and ciders on tap. Friendly and professional staff and overall a great atmosphere!
Not sure if I can give a better review. Walked in 4 people waiting to be served one bar staff working, two men and two women talking behind the bar and ignoring customers. One customer said something and they all walked off in different directions. Beer was good but the tables very sticky. Barry
Great friendly pub with great staff and good beer and food. Wish they'd keep families with children seperate from drinkers wanting to watch sport on TV. Often running around squealing and shouting whilst inconsiderate parents look on.
OK bar. Very similar to an OK Spoons. Good pint from Settle Brewery. Lots of TV'S dotted around the bar..Not my sort of bar but does the job.
