Went here on the off chance as staying in the area for 2 nights. We were blown away by the quality of the food and excellent level of customer service. Very friendly atmosphere and left feeling full. The Bill came to £109 for 4 people and that’s including a few drinks. Portion sizes were also very good. Will definitely be returning!!
More people need to know about this hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant! Generous portions packed with flavour and an endless cocktail menu, we had a lovely date night. Feel like the place just needs to work on its ambience and vegetarian options and it would be perfect.
Excellent food at great value, the burrito was stuffed to bursting and the habanero sauce kicked it up a notch! Chilli con carne was hearty and perfect for a cold day. Would come back in a heartbeat!
I ordered a pina colada and and a chicken burrito with some nachos. The pina colada was probably the best pina colada that I've ever had before, it honestly was amazing. And I have to say the person serving us was the only worker in the restaurant so he had a lot to do. It just would've been nice to be known that it was happy hour when we were eating there because we did have to ask after already ordering our drinks since I saw it on the sign. Additionally, when we were ordering more drinks he told us that the drinks that we ordered were not a part of the happy hour after we finished drinking it which I think was a bit disingenuous. The burrito was pretty good and fulfilling since I couldn't finish the meal and neither could the other people I came with did.
Definitely a gem of a find in this area really excellent value, quite inexpensive for the quality that was given. Presentation and Atmosphere was really nice. It feels like a great private location to do a private party. We had just two tacos each and a beer for dinner and it felt just about enough which for central London sounds ridiculous. Only downside is it did feel like service was a little bit slow but we were very impressed once the food arrived.
Incredible, authentic, delicious Mexican food. A bit of a hole in the wall, the vibes and energy reminded me of the Mexican taquerias in California where I’m originally from. Portions are massive and prices very fair (£11.50 for a chicken enchilada). Run don’t walk to try this spot!
Came here on a Thursday night. Cute little newly opened Mexican restaurant. We got the enchilada and Mexican bowl. Decent portions and very tasty. Wouldn’t say the dishes are traditionally Mexican but still good. I would come here again to try other foods. Also the owner is super nice too.
I’m staying nearby so it’s actually my third time here in a short while and honestly I wish I could come in almost every day. The place is cozy and the food is just amazing. I leave needing a nap every time as the portions are actually quite decent sized, especially considering the affordable price. You don’t see a lot of places which do proper Mexican food in London but I think I found my favourite so far. The service is warm and friendly as well.
A group of us went there on Saturday night and the place was surprisingly quiet. Apparently, they have been open for only a month or so BUT the food and the service were great and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
El Mero Taco is a fantastic Mexican eatery, serving up delicious and authentic cuisine. Their tacos are a standout, made with fresh ingredients and a variety of filling options. The nachos are top-notch and the service is friendly and attentive. A must-visit for anyone craving Mexican food!
