The cashier tried to overcharge me but fortunately I was wise to this . Eventually she corrected it back to the correct price.
Ordered a delivery on a Sunday evening, was delivered very promptly indeed. Cash on delivery or payment by bank transfer, no cards accepted. We had Salt and Chilli Wings, Prawn Toast and Yung Chow Fried Rice. All dishes were very nice indeed!
*AVOID AT ALL COSTS* Absolutely the worst Chinese I have ever had in my life. Both me and my daughter were violently sick on my birthday weekend after ordering £72 worth of takeaway food including their king prawn chow mien and salt and pepper king prawn starter. Phoned the takeaway and the woman who answered told me to stop wasting their time and didn’t even apologise or say anything when I told her please not to serve the same prawns to other customers. Words escape me. The same awful woman told me I should have brought the food back- how can you return food when you have instant food poisoning!! Avoid if you value your health and do not want horrendous food poisoning or indeed the misfortune of dealing with dreadful staff. A disgrace.
Didnt even want to give them a 1 star but had no choice. Absolutely shocking meal and shocking service from the woman on the phone when we rang to complain. No meat in the meal and chow mein was dry. Woman on the phone told us we had to take it back to her when they delivered it like that to us!! When i told her we was going to write a bad review she said 'go on then, thats your opinion' would never order from here again!
Asked for specific Chinese rice, noodle and chicken based dishes, with the exception of dim sum - they do not offer as reflected on that menu - the staff was very helpful and friendly in explaining what I was specifically looking for - what they had, didn’t have but a suitable substitute. OMG….The flavour of the food was above what I expected. I appreciated that basic level of service. I recommend the beef noodle dish.
Come here all the time for our favourite crispy shredded chicken in chilli and carrots. This place is crazy busy on weekends so can wait up to 2 hours. So glad they're opening again since the lockdown.
Finally re-opening! I've miss my salt & pepper king prawns so much. Been coming here for years and still the best Singapore vermicelli in town. Can't wait to place an order.
Updated this to reflect 3 years of sampling pretty much every Chinese takeaway round Chester - Mayflower is consistently the best for me. Crispy chilli beef is a highlight for me within a really good menu and we've never been disappointed. Its a bit more expensive and portions size is average but still we come back for the quality! Nice people too.
