Only gripe is not cleaning off the alloys. I cleaned them beforehand. I know they would get dirty with the tyre fitting. My normal garage always gave them a quick wipe afterwards. I didn’t expect them to be detailed, But a little wipe would have done. It shows care and pride in the job. Sadly, a lost art these days.
I was so very impressed with my interaction with Halfords today. My car needed repair I was only visiting for the weekend . They fit me in even though they were full and did an excellent job. Cannot thank them enough .

Fantastic service at Halfords Ashton Old Rd. I had 4 new tyres fitted and a wheel alignment, along with the free brake test. I also asked them to check the exhaust system. They did it in a few hours and rang me when it was ready as promised. Sarah on the main desk was very friendly and helpful, and Stephen was the technician.
I booked my car in for a diagnostic due to my car making strange noises and misfiring when starting up the engine. This garage booked me in straight away within a couple of days. The service they provided was very fast and everyone was really nice and friendly. I will definitely be using this garage for all of my car needs from now on.
The lads were great. I took my car down as advised by the AA. The advise I got from the manager was straight to the point as their diagnostic system was unable to narrow down the fault code. I have since managed to get my car booked into the garage I use and hopefully will be able to get this fault fixed.
Dropped of my company van for a pre booked service they had it all day and did not carry out the service stating we did not have time the mechanic and the unit manager had a terrible attitude. When I said I was going to complain to there head office the manager said he doesn't Care. The worst service and attitude I have ever come across from any company period!!! My colleague had the same problem with his local branch. With a loose sump nut which caused a leak on his new driveway and also a loose wheel one his nearside passenger side. Dangerous company avoid at all cost.
Tried charging me for a new clutch, water pump, timing belt and coolant leak fix. Came up to 1500, went to a local garage for a second opinion and turns out didn't need all that work done. Heard one of the lads say to an apprentice 'this we'll be a good one for you...' when I brought the car in. Fixed the car for 600 in the end. Keep it honest gents.
