   The mechanic was supposed to carry out the following checks: Safety check Suspension check Tyres check Catalytic converter check Battery check However, he did not properly perform any of these checks. He only connected the OBD for a few seconds and then claimed that everything was fine except for the front brake pads. It was clear that he just said that to pretend he had checked the car, even though he hadn’t. I know one of my tyres is worn, yet he didn’t mention it at all. This shows that no inspection was done. I also asked him to send me an email with the details of all the checks, which should have been provided as a PDF report, but I never received anything. This experience was very disappointing, I waited over six hours in Manchester expecting a professional inspection, only to be lied to and disrespected. I will escalate this matter to Halfords Complaints

   I did my MOT at Hardford and I’m really happy with the service. The staff were friendly, professional, and explained everything clearly. The process was quick and smooth, and the price was very reasonable. Definitely recommend them if you need an MOT or car service!

   "I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Halfords. On Sunday evening, I purchased a pair of tires for my car, and I was booked in for a paid appointment on Monday at 5 pm. I finished work early to arrive on time and reached the garage at 4:45 pm. However, after removing my old tires, the staff informed me that the new ones hadn't arrived. The receptionist showed no apology or understanding, which was frustrating. I pointed out that I wasn't informed about potential delays, and he told me to come back the next day. I agreed, but when I called the next day at 4 pm to confirm the tires' arrival, the same staff member told me they still hadn't arrived. I lost my temper, hung up, and called customer service to cancel my order. The customer service representative informed me that the tires would arrive the following day and could be fitted, but I politely declined. I'm disappointed in the waste of my time and wages. Due to this experience, I wouldn't recommend this Halfords franchise. The staff seemed unconcerned about customer satisfaction. If you value your time and money, I suggest exploring alternative options.

   It was an ordinary experience. I thank the workers for doing the service work. I bought a Major Service and at the end of the day I found the car exactly in same situation. I've been to many other places in the past and what they do is they give the car a good wash at the end so it looks fresh and definitely feels like it's been through some sort of care. This wasn't the case at Halfords and when I asked I got a straight no. I suggest Halfords to rethink this.

   Had a clutch and Dual mass flywheel changed in my Audi Q5 at a cost of £1400. It’s only lasted 30,000 miles I was assured at the time the parts were as good as Audi but now I have taken it to the Audi dealer they have said it is a sub standard brand. Audi or Halfords are lying but the fact remains that a £1400 clutch replacement has only lasted 30k miles. Properly gutted and won’t be able to use them again because of this.
