    Just had my Vauxhall Astra J in for a new oil pickup seal and the guys at Greenwood Motor Services did a great job. The lady at reception, Adele (I believe that’s her name - I apologise if I’ve got it wrong), is incredibly friendly and professional. She really put me at ease and kept me well informed on the progress of the work as well as the cost. I really struggled to find a Vauxhall specialist in the north Manchester area. Very glad I found Greenwood!

    I’ve been using Greenwood Motor Services for 2 years now and as I work away from home a lot, when I took my car in for a tire valve sensor fault 6 months ago in March 2025, I asked them to pre check my car for MOT which was due in August 2025. They told me I would need a couple of front roll bar bushes and maybe some tires. Back then in March, I decided to go to a so called reputable tire company in Ashton and get 4 new tires, all balanced and tracked. After this, the steering wheel was off centre when driving and the car was pulling slightly to the right. I was very disappointed as before this, the car ran as if it was on a rail track. I thought I’ll leave it until after the MOT in August with Greenwood’s. Fast forward to July, I emailed Greenwood’s and requested a booking for MOT in August and remind them to get the front roll bar bushes in to fit. MOT was booked for August 19th and parts will be there ready to be fitted confirmed the lovely receptionist Adele. I also booked the car in with ATS in Bradbury for the next day for a computerised four wheel alignment service costing £81. I dropped the car off at 9am at Greenwood’s as arranged and mentioned no rush. It was at this point I asked them if they could also change the engine oil and oil filter ? Short notice I know, but asked on the hope they may have time. Fast forward to 4pm and I telephoned to see how my car was. The response from Adele was “It’s passed it’s MOT, we’ve fitted the roll bar bushes, change the oil and oil filter and the mechanic is just doing the tracking” ? I was a bit surprised as I never mentioned or asked them to do anything with the tracking, so asked “What do you mean tracking” Adele responded “The mechanic noticed the steering wheel was not straight when driving and it was pulling to the right” I thought well if they sort this, at least it will save me driving to ATS Bradbury the next day. When I went to collect the car, I looked at the bill and saw nothing of the tracking ? When I enquired, Adele said “We are not charging you for that” I was truly blown away. Not only did they notice the tracking was a mess, they sorted it without me asking and did not charge me. When I got home, I then got an e-mail from Scott the owner who said he had also noticed oil leakage around a pipe and connector on the engine and even though he cleaned it up and tightened a clip, asked me to call in if passing the next day so they can check if it was ok and stopped leaking. I was half thinking was this a ploy to try and generate more work ie I need a new sump gasket or something. Next day as I passed, I called in. All the mechanics dropped what they were doing and moved cars around in order to get my car back on the ramp. Within a few minutes, they had checked under the sump area and confirmed everything was ok and no problems. This is truly perfect customer care. I am so thankful I found this garage as me and my wife both have Vauxhall cars. They also do other makes of cars, but I think they are most experienced with Vauxhall. I consequently cancelled the ATS tracking and got my £81 back. Thank you Adele, Scott and all your team. You deserve to keep busy and never be out of work. Best wishes, Robert the overseas worker.

    First time using this garage after my car developed a fault within the ABS system which other garages couldn't find, within a few hours the fault had been found and fixed I can't thank these guys enough, staff were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be using this garage again, highly recommend if you have car trouble.

    After going to 2 other garages to repair a eml fault, I decided to find the experts. The service provided by Adele and the team is nothing short of exceptional. I was made to feel at ease the second I made the call to book the car in. I was offered the following day, but I was working away, so I booked it in for the following Tuesday. Within 30 minutes of it being in the garage, the fault was found, and the part was ordered for the following day. I had a phone the following day at around 10.15, all done, come and collect it when you're ready. I was back on the road by 12. I will definitely be back, and I would recommend this garage for realistic prices and excellent service. Thanks guys, for everything.
