   I’m really disappointed with how this garage has changed, as it used to be excellent. I took my Ford Ranger in for a service and specifically asked them to check a warning light — they didn’t, so I had to return the vehicle. They then diagnosed the issue as an injector fault but replaced the wrong injector. Later, they replaced a tensioner (which did need doing) but chose not to replace the belt, despite my request. They assured me it wasn’t necessary. Just 2 miles after leaving, the belt snapped — apparently a “coincidence,” according to the garage. To make matters worse, I was then given an explanation that was clearly untrue, which was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, a very disappointing experience. The lad at the front desk is really nice but seems to me maybe over worked.

   As I was about to get on the motorway my engine coolant light came on, I googled nearest garage and this came up. To say I wasn’t expecting this in the least and was quite upset a week before Christmas, dean and his colleagues went out of their way to help me and fix the problem. Dean even spoke to my usual mechanic (I’m not from round here) to put my mind at ease. My car was fixed within a day. Really nice helpful and genuine guys. Would highly recommend this garage.

   Had a number of vehicles fixed at Tameside Auto centre over the years, from my collection of classic cars to modern day vehicles. Everything from major work to servicing and MOT’s they are always great value for money and the work is always spot on. Tameside will even pick up your car locally if you can’t get to them for an MOT or service. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, it’s always a mine field finding a good mechanic but this garage can be trusted.
