   I recently had a full service and MOT done at National Tyres and Autocare Altrincham, Oakfield Street, Altrincham WA15 8ES, and I am extremely disappointed. During the full service, it appears that the windscreen washer was not checked or topped up, even though this is supposed to be included in a full service. I was not informed of the issue, and as a result, the vehicle failed its MOT unnecessarily. The MOT was not due for another week, so this could have been easily avoided. Additionally, the Vehicle Health Report provided did not mention the windscreen washer at all, which seems unprofessional and raises concerns about the thoroughness and ethics of the inspection. Overall, the service felt incomplete, and the lack of communication caused unnecessary inconvenience and extra cost.

   Had to rescue my step sons girlfriend from this organisation. She limped her Kia in with a misfire and was told after £49.95 diagnosis that the repair would be an additional £730. Having read the report (I'm not a mechanic) I headed over with £60 of parts (NGK Spark plugs) and fixed the car in 8 mins, working in the street across from the centre. You decide if you trust their judgement or think they are fair and reasonable. I also suspect the overly positive reviews are tactical to balance out the others that mirror the experience we had.

   Was told my tyre would be £167.99 and when i checked before paying the same Tyre on their website was £126.99, was being charged an extra £40 just because I took the car in and didn't book online. Refused to pay this and manager gave it to me at £126.99, seems a big difference in prices.

   I had a bad experience a few years ago, all the staff were nice but the manager at the time was rude/intimidating especially as a female but I would recommend now. I booked an MOT, they were polite on the phone and in person which is great considering I was feeling quite anxious.

   I am unhappy with the services provided at national tyres Altrincham. Online the price for 2x Smart Chaser SC1 215/55 R17 98W Autogreen tyres was £66.99 per tyre, the actual cost when I went to the store to get these was £179.98, the online prices really need to be more closely aligned to what the in store price would be for people not pre ordering. The staff were not very fore coming with informing me of the following charges which were automatically applied to the cost: 1x 6 point tracking which was automatically added without asking me, at a cost of over £50. 2x Extended warranty for the tyres, at £16. Please can someone contact me as I would like the extended warranty to be removed. Can I also suggest that you inform future customers what's included in the price as if i'd not asked you would have billed me for all the above with me having minimal understanding

   Useless. Make sure you've got your wheel locking nut after they've fixed your tyres. When they can't even get the basics right - they don't deserve your business. Plenty of independent garages around Altrincham that are better.

   Don't bother. Needed brake pads and two tyres, booked in at Altrincham a week before but they took people off the street before starting my car. 4hrs later and still not started I left to take my business elsewhere. Guy behind the counter response was we wouldn't have got the parts on a Saturday anyway. So why make me wait 4 hours? MoT due in 3 weeks which will be somewhere else now too. Obviously not short of business.
