   Ive been coming here for years as i used to live in grove park but moved a couple of years ago, so i have to travel from Tower Bridge to get my Chinese now as it was the best but the last 2 times it hasn't been too good, tonight 9th Sept 25, the pancake Rolls was not fresh and tge chicken fried rice hardly had no chicken in it it was scraps and it didn't taste fresh at all, this is the 2nd time as it was like it last week too, going to give it abitbof a break for abit..

   I’ve ordered from this place several times on UberEats, and it’s always been a great experience. My order has always been accurate, with nothing missing, and the portion sizes are really generous—definitely a plus considering the price. This place is a bit pricier than my usual go-to Chinese spot, but the portions here are noticeably bigger. You’re essentially paying for larger servings compared to the standard compact containers most Chinese food comes in. Each container has enough food to easily serve two people or provide two separate meals. My main issue with the food here is that the rice and noodles are very dry. It’s even worse when the food arrives lukewarm or cold, and you have to microwave it, which makes the texture even drier and crispier. In comparison, my usual Chinese spot always has moist and flavorful rice and chow mein, so this place falls short in that regard. Don’t get me wrong—Golden City’s food tastes amazing, I’ll give them that. But the dryness of some dishes means I end up drowning them in curry sauce just to add some moisture. Will I order from this place again? Definitely, but only for myself next time, not for both me and my mum. For two people, our order came to £70, which is quite steep—especially when my usual spot charges around £55 for the two of us, and we don’t even order a lot. To be fair, that £70 does include fees and delivery, but even so, it’s still pricey. I just can’t justify the cost, so in the future, I’ll stick to ordering just the basics from here, skipping the sides and drinks to keep it more affordable.

   Can be hit and miss. Today we had kung-po chicken, vegetable chowmein and chicken balls. Vegetable chowmein is always good, so was the kung-po chicken. Chicken balls were a but greasy today, but still nice.

   This is my go-to Chinese, absolutely love their beef Ho fun, and Singapore vermicelli. They're always busy and it's priced well. The people at the till can sometimes be a bit blunt, a smile can go a long way. But I still always end up going there because they have great food.

   Food always tastes fresh & well seasoned, delivery is always on time and never long. Their portions and prices are reasonable and decent. Since discovering this takeaway I’ve become a regular customer and will continue to use them. Also their hygiene rating is 5 star which is a bonus!
