I tried Ho Lee for the first time this evening and ordered directly (rather than the JE delivery platform). The prices were also a bit cheaper. It was delicious! It arrived ahead of estimated time and was hot and very tasty. Will definitely use again.
Ordered food on a Tuesday evening and it was supposed to be delivered within an hour. Took 1.5 hours and arrived stone cold every single dish apart from the soup. Ordered egg fried rice and we got plain rice with one small bit of egg in it totally flavourless not even a little dash of soy sauce or garlic powder on it to give it some flavour and colour. This take away has seriously gone down hill. They offered 20% on next order as way of an apology but I wouldn’t waste my money getting food from them again. £45 down the drain. Avoid.
Raw chicken.. luckily i have a toddler whos food need to be chopped up, or this wouldnhave been served to my 2 older children. The rest of the food was cooked, quite flavourless but i am used to the poor food quality dagenham and surrounding areas have on offer, all the food went in the bin as we were unablento enjoy outnl of fear we would find more raw meat. I spoke to the restaurant they were apologetic andnthe lady said a driver would put the money for a refund through my door since i paid cash and am unable to travel.. i made her aware i will be moving within 2 weeks.. so since i have not recieved my money back after allowing a generous amount of days, i am here writing this 1 star review. I DO NOT reccomend this restaurant. Imagine you order from uber or deliveroo and they refuse the refund lile they regularly do, or you are in the same position as me, paying cash and can not travel to collect your refund. Its not worth the risk.. plus if you dont have babys you may not be as cautious serving the food and end up with serious food poisoning..
Shocking. Literally live 10 minutes away from the takeaway they took 1 hour and a half to deliver the food you have to call for them to start cooking and to remember you ordered.
Order online 2 days ok. They accepted it then declined it because they were short of drivers, they took the order money but trying to get it back is an absolute joke. Still waiting for my refund
I've ordered online last evening and after I've waited more than 1 hour I've got an email that informed me abaout order declined. (Order placed at 18.45 , paid, confirmed, emIl received 20.02 ) . When I went to the address were they have the kitchen I've been informed that they are closed for 2 days and the company was supposed to put them offline but they didn't do it . Very disappointed having kids awaiting for noodles.
Ho Lee is becoming very hit and miss. When it's good its brilliant but when it's bad it's bad. Tonight we waited almost two hours for our food to be delivered and when it was it went straight in the bin. It was completely stone cold. Not a hint of warmth. Very very disappointing it will be a very long time before we order from here again
Ordered from here a couple times and never had no problem but last night was a joke, I hardened 2 rice and both where ridiculous rubbery, I never seen nothing like it, clearly don't care about there reputation or customers will never order and recommend.
