   I rarely write reviews but after having to live with one of the worst haircuts and colours I've ever had for two months, I can't not say something. I paid for a permanent root tint which washed out within a week. I told Max repeatedly you can't put layers in my hair as its so fine but he went full Edward Scissorhands on my hair; the layering was so bad I had to have 3 inches cut off by another hairdresser (and pay again). My hair has never been so short, I still have layers and every day I can't style my hair. Its been a nightmare. I went in and spoke to the manager a week after this disaster but she didn't want to know and Max has never even had the curtesy to ring for a chat.

   Editing my previous review because so many things have changed in the 4 years since I last reviewed. So I've been coming to Tracey for over 8 years. I have my brows sculpted and HD by Ellie who also does the most amazing massages. Nails by Tracey or Becky. All the team are amazing and they are constantly expanding the services they provide.

   I came to Onyx for the first time yesterday with my little girl - I had a gel French manicure and she had her hair cut and her nails done as a treat. I'm normally pretty underwhelmed by salons, I've tried SO many different ones, but I will 100% be returning to Onyx. The girls were so lovely, made us feel so welcome, the French polish is the most perfect, high-quality French I think I've ever had. I'll report back if it chips but it looks immaculate - infinitely better than 95% of French polishes I've had before. My little girl loved every minute of being there, and I was pleased to hear they do loads of other treatments that aren't currently on the website so it really is a one-stop-shop if you're sick of travelling to 12 different locations to get all your beauty & hair things done! Very reasonable too, without compromising on quality, plus they have a loyalty scheme. I also had a patch test done - they are hot on their hygiene and safety, I felt really comfortable there. So chuffed I found this place!

   I absolutely love ONYX & all the girls in there. They are experts in their trade what they don't know about nails hair massages and all beauty treatments isn't worth knowing. You are always welcome with a warm smile , brews when Covid-19 allows. This salon is like meeting up with your best friends & getting pampered. Wouldn't go anywhere else . Easy to book via online or calling the salon .
