   The Staff , Service and food was impeccable, we have been eating here for a number of years and we are always greeted so warmly by front of house staff and all the lovely waiters and waitresses , I highly recommend a Lunch or Dinner here food is superb ,

   The young waiters were absolutely lovely — all hardworking, and attentive. Unfortunately, the owners or head of staff were shockingly rude and disrespectful towards them. The way they spoke to the staff was upsetting to witness and continued throughout the evening. On a few occasions, when the owner or head of staff noticed me watching, he would suddenly smile and soften his tone, but this felt performative. At one point, he shouted at two staff members at the till for taking time to work out part of the bill, accusing them of talking too much. It’s a very toxic environment for young workers and has completely put me off returning. I’ve been coming here for years, but I’d never sat in a position where I could see this behaviour — but this time I was right next to the bar/ counter. I’ve spent hundreds, if not thousands, here over the years, and I genuinely regret not speaking up for those staff members.

   Owner was friendly, the restaurant is nicely decorated, and the staff were attentive. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was really poor. Main issues were: - it didn’t taste freshly cooked - there were odd ingredients in dishes (cucumber in the chow mein & mushy strawberry pieces in the sweet and sour pork) which gave the impression they were trying to use up leftover ingredients - It was the kind of quality you’d expect from an all you can eat buffet, yet cost over £100 Have since realised that the takeaway on Uber called “Silk Road skewers” which boasts of dishes like chicken skewers with choices of bbq, bolognese, or piri piri sauce (??) is run from Zenxi’s kitchen - this tells you everything you need to know about the quality of the food. Such a shame as we were really looking forward to trying this restaurant! EDIT following owner’s response - cucumbers in the fried rice (not noodles) which you can see on the plate! Silk Road Skewers is still on Uber eats, as of yesterday night, which is how I realised it’s the same venue. Honestly the food was just poor. Rather than being defensive perhaps take onboard feedback.

   very accommodating, the number of guests we had changed and they were helpful to change the table around for us. customer service was 5/5. food wise it would be maybe 3.7/5 - the quality was good but for the price and location is a bit disappointing. atmosphere was lovely there too.

   My mum is obsessed with this place. The service is amazing and staff are so friendly. Gives the impression of a fine dining experience but with Chinese food. Lovely setting, lots of free parking. Food: Spring rolls amazing, seasonal cheese lobster (expensive but) INCREDIBLE! Seaweed is nice and crunchy. Only critique is I wouldn’t recommend the crispy duck or the fried squid.
