We visited to buy our 1 year old his first pair of shoes. The member of staff we asked for help was both rude and dismissive, not at all interested in sizing our son’s feet or recommending a safe first pair. Instead we was instructed to ‘check the wall at the back’ and ‘ask at the till for help’ before she turned her back and walked away from us. Safe to say she ruined the experience for us. Definitely would recommend avoiding this store.

Shoes artistically spread out, giving a very thin offering of stock. Usualky get my shoes from Clarks, but there wasn't much available to look at here.

We came Monday 13th October, excited to get our sons first shoes, and it couldn't have gone any worse, we walked in, didn't get greeted, 1 lady was on the phone, other lady ignored us and let us walk past, we've never been before so we had no idea what to do, eventually I had to approach her and she told me to pick some shoes we liked, so we did, told her I liked some and she just looked at me and smiled, like erm what do I do next? They were just no help at all, we ended up walking out and took our business elsewhere.

Absolute INCOMPETENT staff with no customer training whatsoever!! Called in to get daughters feet measured for school shoes, manager refused to measure any customers until they find something they like in store and then you can be measured! We got measured with staff making up measurements as they went along - how can you go from a 1.5 initial measurement down to a 1 and then straight to a 2??!!! Children's feet generally grow and not shrink. Absolutely NO FAITH OR CONFIDENCE in this branch at all, AVOID!!!!

Aliya was an absolute angel with my daughter. Busiest weekend before school starts and she introduced herself, made conversation to make her feel comfortable and took her time to fit and measure her feet. She found the perfect shoes and gave advice on how to look after them. Thank you so much. We will definitely come back for the next pair of school shoes!

Appalling service! Went all the way to White Rose centre as the Clarkes shoe shop in Leeds centre had closed. Specifically went to Clarkes as I have unusually wide feet and a bunion and wanted to get my feet measured so I could get a pair that were comfortable. Female sales assistant (I think she was the manager- seemed to bustle in as soon as I mentioned getting my feet measured) told me that it was “not necessary” to measure my feet as they had limit stock of wide shoes. I was offered only two styles as I wanted them in black. The only thing that makes it worthwhile going to Clarkes is that they supposedly measure your feet and offer a wider selection of sizes. Don’t see the point in going to Clarkes ever again after this. Better off buying online. Can easily send them back if not happy. No wonder the high street shops are dying a death. To compound the issue, after purchasing them I felt that we had been railroaded into buying a pair of shoes that I was not happy with (not the style I would have liked and overpriced for the service that I received.) My wife went back twice to return them and was refused a refund. First time because she didn’t have the receipt and second time because I paid by phone and they said that they need my phone to reimburse. Given that we had the shoes in the box and the receipt I believe they should have refunded me cash if they could not do it electronically and they basically tried to fob us off. So I ended up spending £130 on a pair of shoes that I’m not happy with - Would give zero stars if I could. Reading similar reviews on this site, seems this lady is a problem.

Really disappointed in the service I received today at Clarks White Rose. I walked in and was asked my a sales assistant ' what I was after’ , I asked if I could get my 2 year old daughters feet measured. He rudely replied ’we don't measure feet unless you're buying something.’ I told him that if my daughters feet had grown then I would purchase some new shoes. The only reason that I have given two stars and not one is that a lovely sales assistant called Jack delivered a much better service when measuring my daughter's feet. They had grown and we did buy a pair of new shoes. We have spent hundreds of pounds on shoes in Clarks over the past two years and I won't be returning to this particular store to buy shoes for my children .

They employ students enticing them by telling them lies that they will be given free shoes but never give them, so Beware! The managers are awful, constantly on phone talking to their friends and do nothing most day. Horrible state of affairs.

Lovely staff, but not much stock left. Out of 20 infant shoes they only had one pair that fit my son.

Wouldn’t even give a 1 star. Horrible customer service by the rude staff who work there. Refused to measure my daughters feet, unless I was going to purchase shoes. Even After placing an online order in store with them she refused to measure using the appropriate equipment. Had a quick feel with her thumb and said it’s fine. I could have done that myself.
