   I had my first haircut with Steve last weekend. I'd requested a trim as I'm keen to maintain my hair length and it has been almost 5 months since my last tidy-up. Steve was intuitive and meticulous with my hair, he checked the length to be cut as well as whether or not I wanted the edges skimmed before taking any action. There was great care taken with the whole process which was impressive. The cut did not feel rushed at all as I have experienced with other hairdressers and has, at times, led to shorter and wonky feathers on more than one occassion (at my dismay). The right amount of time was taken and I didn't feel like I was a chore or number. Steve genuinely enjoys his work and everything went smoothly. I was put at ease straight away and had a fab friendly chat throughout without that forced feeling of conversation that you can sometimes experience elsewhere. I'm very pleased with the outcome and I've already receieved compliments on the cut with being told it's been the best yet. Steve was also at hand to provide hair care tips to keep it in good condition, his attention to detail is deeply appreciated and I shall definitely be returning as he's 100% worth the wait.

   Honestly horrified at this place! My brother came in for a haircut today, showed a picture of how he wanted it cutting and styled, woman did not even cut his hair like the picture at all, just hacked at it. He’s been growing his hair out for years, it was his confidence in life now this so called barber has took all his confidence away!!! I picked him up after his appointment and he was in tears!

   Went in for a touch up and a small trim and asked the guy for JUST the edges cut as i wanted to keep the length of my hair and he decided not to do that and cut off the majority of the length without checking if it was okay with me. i usually go here everytime for my haircut but i will make sure to avoid certain people here. Completely changed my style, went in with a mullet and came out with pretty much short back and sides.

   I absolutely adore my visits to Palace Barbers in Aflecks. My hair is always in the safest hands with Ste. Amazing results and I always leave feeling great. Amazing atmosphere in the shop, feels like you’re sitting in the 80’s whilst you wait. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

   went in with my friend last week, Liv made us feel at ease. we were both really worried about our haircut as we have both had bad experiences in the past and don’t like being in a salon environment, but we were put at ease and received the haircut we both wanted at only a fraction of the price of other salons, will definitely visit palace barbers again such an amazing experience x

   Have been visiting to get my fringe trimmed for a few months, but have held back on getting a hair cut as I am trying to grow out some colour. My hair (fringe) has always been finished to an exceptional standard so I was excited to have proper cut on Saturday. I was given what I asked for and more.I cannot think of the last time I had my hair cut and was instantly in love with the results. My once very flat bobbed hair now has texture and movement, and looks like I've styled it when I haven't. What more can you ask for? The pricing is fantastic and incredibly competitive. I'd have paid double/triple for the cut I received. Always a lovely atmosphere where everyone is made to feel welcome, which I feel really sets this place aside from the rest. I did not catch the name of the person who completed my cut, but they were wearing a fantastic hat and Adidas jumper that I was very jealous of! Thank you so very much for a brilliant experience!!

   Will not be using the service again. I don't usually write negative reviews but I've never left a hairdressers feeling so disappointed. The finish was nothing like the reference I showed, and did not fit the description I gave. It was cut much shorter on the sides than I asked, one side is uneven as too much was taken away. I said I was not happy and yet still paid full price which given the situation, I was not all pleased with. I also have wavy hair and it was dried straight so the finish looked different than what it would naturally (which is worse). At the start, before my optimism dwindled, I felt rushed when explained what I would like and clearly I wasn't listened to as I came out with something completely different to what I asked for. I will be wearing hats for the next 3 months 'till it grows out, lucky it is winter.

   Olivia, I promised you I'm gonna write a review! It's been a couple of weeks since my first visit and yeah, you did it! You gave me a big chunk of confidence that I needed! I really love my new hairstyle and people around me adore it as well! It's really hard to describe but you immediately knew that I was (positively) overwhelmed with it. Didn't tie my hair ever since...Couldn't even do that because I forgot my scrunchie at the salon ^^ I'm just so happy and grateful!!! All the best, lots of love and see you next time Luna :3
