Have been going here for years. Went last Thursday and was told they don't cut women's hair. Explained I was an existing customer was told again no hair cut for women. Went to another barber who had no issue in cutting my hair.
I was visiting the area on business, so I checked for men's barbers. I choose the afternoon before school closure. I was immediately able to take a chair. I explained what I needed & it was fulfilled in a professional & with careful consideration. I am impressed with the results & recommend this establishment.
I visited Kings Barber yesterday, Thursday 14th of November. Skin fade was the choice. My neck hurts like hell and my wife says I am scratched on the back of my neck. I have never seen something like this in my life. It is 00:55 now, Friday and still hurts. I had the haircut at around 12:30-13:00 yesterday. When I think I paid 20£ instead of 15£! Unfortunately I go in the area rarely since I am a HGV driver and never know when the company sends me there. The haircut itself is fine, but I would still confront the barber for the scratches and this pain. No fighting but he really needs to be more careful. I can add photos, but the pain would still be with me. In my 41 years of existence never have I seen a barber to scratch my neck like this. He was alone and very busy yet...is this an excuse enough to leave me hurting like this?
I've been going to King's for around 3 years. The barabers are always very friendly, always give a good cut, and it's reasonably priced. As a bonus, they have a ramp for wheelchair access. I definitely recommend them.
The barbers are well trained with over 15 years of professional experience, they know what you want by just looking at your face lol
A proper local mens barber shop. All of the staff are well-skilled and friendly. Never had an issue and always get a great haircut. Prices are fair, you just sometimes can't pay with card. Free parking is available at asda across the road.
Over priced. The owner is rude, better to go one down the road alot cheaper and does the same cut Nothing special, Female barber at this shop was amazing shes no longer there , the owner with the glasses makes you get ur cut from unqualified random barbers and when asked if he can cut your hair he says that guy is good barber when they not
Highly unprofessional and rude. When I was at the payment counter, ready to make payment by phone. A barber with glasses said our card machine is out of order. We need cash. I said fine. Let me get cash for you. I started walking towards my car to get my bank card, so I could withdraw some cash from nearby cash machine at ASDA. To my surprise, the barber followed me to my car which was about 100 yards away and started shouting from behind that he needs cash. He left a customer in the middle of their haircut. I said you need cash and that is what I'm doing. I'm getting my bank card from my car and then I'm going to walk to cash machine. You will get your money. Why are you so rude and insecure? After I paid him, I said I'm not coming back here again because of the way he dealt with me. To which he replied, we don't want customers like you. I simply don't understand what he was up to. I have been visiting this barber shop for haircut and dye but won't visit again due to this man's attitude. All I was doing was getting cash for him.
I'd give 6 stars if I could. Doesn't matter who you get your cut from in this shop, the owner always makes sure his employees are top notch. I'm really sensitive about my hair and they still manage to make me feel very very comfortable. They don't spend 1 hour on each haircut. They spend just enough time that you feel valued and fresh. I would come from a different city for this barber ;)
I have been to barber shops worth £50+ and they didn't provide the same service as Kings. Truly exceptional - have been recommending it to all my friends and family. Super friendly customer service. Superb haircut. Haven't looked so handsome in forever. haha. Will be a regular from now on! :D
