   Shocked and appalled at the attitude of this shop keeper. The shop was locked but showing open so I called them and was greeted by huffing when he unlocked the door, no apology. I returned some faulty shoes bought for my partner. My partner couldn't be there with me to choose alternates and didn't want an exchange for the same pair, just a refund the receipt had faded even after 6weeks so I offered my credit card statement as proof of purchase and was met with argumentative abuse and refusal. Despite standing my ground got nowhere and eventually accepted a credit note. Wish I'd taken it further, as advice on the .GOV website certainly supports my case. Instead I will use my credit note and never return again. I'd love to support local business but this guy doesn't deserve it and judging by some other reviews I've read, I'm not the only one to have experienced this attitude and rudeness Such a shame that one business owner can make you loose faith in local shopping, especially in a town like Stourbridge where it's worked so hard to thrive!

   I tried to return some Nikwax spray on proofing I bought the day before as I found a bigger bottle at several other retailers at a fraction of the price (cheapest I found it was £4.13 at go outdoors on offer. Elsewhere its £7.99 for 500ml as appose to the £10.99 I paid for 300ml). I asked the shop keeper at the time if that was the going rate for it and he said yes so I bought it. We are encouraged to shop local and support businesses and I don't mind a slight difference in price but seriously?! Yeh it's a well stocked little shop but I suggest you check prices before you buy from here as he WILL NOT refund unless its faulty! After him raising his voice at me and me retaliating with a mouthful of choice words I left with the product as I didn't want a credit note to spend In an over priced shop. Safe to say I won't be shopping here in future!
