Went here the fist time when the store opened and I was disappointed with a long queue (after getting the udon to pay) and the not hot food. Back here again, and I was genuinely happy to see the improvement and whilst you still had to queue to be served, there were only one or two people to pay in front, which meant the food kept hot and delicious.
1st time been here. Service is great. Staff guide you how to order because it looks different with other restaurants. Foods are tasty specially Udon.
Don’t go there. The hygiene is very poor. The trays are not clean and have a bad smell. The condiments area has spoiled spring onions covered with flies. Disgusting
Delicious udon. We also liked the crispy fried side dishes (sweet potato, prawn, edamame, seaweed, etc), and chocolate dorayaki. We could add in condiments we wanted, and it was all good. Seating areas are available inside, and outside. Toilet for customers is available.
Nice selection of food. Cafeteria style, get your food pay first and then have a seat. I enjoyed the small side dishes but they do add up. The takoyaki tasted really good. There was no rice available. There was a queue. There were a lot of seats despite how busy it was. It can be a bit cleaner.
It was my first time at Marugame, I asked the staff for some recommendations, they were very friendly and helpful. The udon noodles broth and beef were delicious and was made fresh to order in front of you, which added to the experience, I would highly recommend it. It was extremely flavourful, the noodles had a perfect bite to them. You can also pick up some tempura of your choice for an added cost, the gyozas were okay, but the karage chicken was delicious. Drink options were extensive, desserts however were limited. All in all the food was tasty and it's worth try, I'll be trying other menu items in future.
Thanks all at Marugame Udon for the best sushi/Japanese food ever. The soft chicken Karaage ‘melt in your mouth’ delicious as are all the other dishes I’ve tried. Must try Chicken Paitan & chicken Yaki Udon. Highly recommend to anybody whose not tried it. You won’t be disappointed ☺️
The food was great and staff were very helpful. First time going to this place. The atmosphere was also great but busy. The pricing is excellent. The chicken was Halal which was a bonus. They just need to make sure they have more variety. It was a great day out and look forward to going back there again. The soup flavor is amazing I must add.
