First time having Christmas dinner in a restaurant/pub. What can I say , food was outstanding. The Chef Ryan certainly knows how to prepare and present the dishes. Service was brilliant by Marco who was really friendly and attentive. We enjoyed it so much we are hoping to book again for next year.
We were greeted by Charm, who look after us (group of 11) was very helpful and provided an excellent service, she done not stop! Very polite and lovely smile when at our table! Also big thank you to Marco who contacted me about pre-order for the food, excellent food was cooked by Elliot. The whole experience was great and big thanks again to all!
Lovely atmosphere, seated by a lovely warm fire. Service from Marco was great, and food from Elliot was delicious and served in good time, with a great portion size. Even better it’s dog friendly and our dog, Belle, got some treats too!!
Lovely pub and the food was lovely, I had the steak with a dripping sauce(the sauce was the best I've ever tasted),the staff worked hard and on the ball, will be going again...superb! The whole family loved it.
Lovely pub, excellent service from staff. Plenty of parking, great food. The garlic mushrooms were really flavoursome and the 3 meat Sunday roast was lovely. The Eton mess was not great at all( so much so that I mentioned it to the waitress) there was next to no meringue and it was all cream with a couple of white chocolate buttons and hardly any fruit. I left the majority of mine. All other food was great though. Will return and would recommend( but not the eton mess)
We have had lunch time meals several times over the last year and all our meals and companions meals have been very good and enjoyed by all. The service has always been friendly. There has been music playing but truly in the background so it does not infringe on conversation. The photo is of Kedgeree fish cakes Brocalli and French fries. Delicious.
Having not been in for a long time, I booked a table for 6 family members in the front area near the fire. Everything was just great, the service was efficient and friendly, food very well presented on plates that were nice and hot, atmosphere pleasantly relaxed. We all felt comfortable and very much enjoyed our Sunday lunch at the Red Lion...
Stopped in for a quick lunch with the family. Service was quick and attentive and the staff were mindful of the fact we were in a bit of a rush. The food was delicious and great value for money. Excellent quality and care all round - can't recommend them highly enough!
Great food (we couldn't get over the lovely presentation of the edible flower pot desert!) Staff were friendly as well, place had a nice welcoming feel to it
Just had an amazing Sunday roast. Food was delicious, staff very attentive. Really lovely surroundings. We had the best seat in the house right by an open fire.
