   If you’re thinking of buying a new kitchen from here, then don’t. I can’t stress how stressful & exhausting this process has been, between both the store staff and Wickes’ “customer service”. Starting with their incorrect measurements, holding no accountability, missing multiple items from our order, trying to charge US for delays caused by THEMSELVES.. to top that I got a parking fine from the store itself for over staying at the design appointment that I was taken in 20mins late for! They’ll happily & quickly take your money, then leave you to pick up all the pieces when it’s wrong. AVOID, you’re welcome.

   Ordered some plum slate from wickes on click and collect although the service inside the store is great… the customer service in the phone is useless I ordered 40mm slate around 11 bags.. started to empty it for my boarder and a couple of the bags are actually 20mm (see pics) I called customer service who stated they don’t do 20mm slate … and also contacted wickes over email who also didn’t seem interested in helping me … so I guess I’m not getting any money back or an resolution … great to do business think I’ll go elsewhere in the future

   Our visit today wasn't a great advertisement for a buildings materials store as it advertises itself. The car park is full of potholes which could easily damage your car, ironically they have their storage area next to the car park where you can see bags of tarmac for sale! Even though it was a bad start, we decided to look at the new kitchens we had driven there to see. It didn't get any better; LED strip lights were hanging from the displays, counter top examples were missing. It just felt like they don't care so we went somewhere that does.

   Went with an appointment didn't even have time for us or bother with us I think his name is Steve or Stephen. Rubbish then Julia or someone tried helping us but just really felt she wanted to get rid of us! Rubbish!

   Just saw a couple steal two 5L pots of paint, when staff was alerted that they are walking out with paint he just smiled at me. Guess it’s easier for staff to stick it to the cooperate.

   Wickes is my preferred DIY store. Prices are reasonable, quality is up there with the best, availability is not an issue either. The Oldham store is convenient, never too busy and the staff are helpful too. Parking is good and opening times are long. Offers are really good here.
