    Been in to collect flooring that was bought online. Realised I needed a trim cutter, asked for assistance to be pointed in a direction id already checked for 5 mins. "Might be over there". Checked again for another 5 mins, i gave up and went to screwfix. Collection of products was fine but customer service from there on out was non existent. Lost out of a sale for mitre saw / cutters / handsaw / glue because staff didnt want to properly assist.

    I received fantastic customer service yesterday when I went to pick up some heavy bathroom tiles, which I felt nervous about lifting. On arrival, an assistant immediately asked if I needed help and then asked her colleague to help lift them onto the trolley and into my car. A big thank you to Harry on his first day for helping a customer in need - it was much appreciated!

    It's really good on price and availability. They have a new £4 delivery charge and mostly next day delivery. The staff are always happy to serve you and help if you are not sure.

    Ordered 5 interior doors plus handles in store, agreed delivery date, booked joiner to fit them. On the delivery day received email saying they couldn't deliver all items, delivery driver dropped off 1 door and 5 sets of handles. Received another email saying they are sourcing the rest of the doors. Another email 8 weeks later saying they are in stock then heard nothing again. We contacted them to be told they can't now supply them and we needed to go to the store for refund. Went to the store, and all I can say is the reception we received there matched the complete inadequacy of the whole experience. Will not be shopping here again!

    Really bad experience buying a kitchen from Wickes. They measured the kitchen completely wrong and didn't take any ownership of it at all. Gave really bad advice and as soon as I had paid for the kitchen they were nearly impossible to contact and no apology given. Thankful I didnt have them to actually fit the kitchen. The kitchen fitter was brilliant (not working for Wickes) and had to make a lot of adjustments. I wouldn't recommend Wickes to anyone for getting a kitchen. Very overpriced, customer service is poor, and knowledge about kitchen fixtures poor. Very stressful time for us, never again

    The store itself is OK, but had a nasty experience with online ordering. I bought 7 doors online in July – it was a great deal, or so I thought. The doors were delivered very quickly and were well-packed: cardboard over the door face, double wrapped in strong polythene and foam covering each corner. I couldn’t get a carpenter to fit the doors immediately so put them in the garage but didn’t remove the packing as I didn’t want to risk damaging them: BIG MISTAKE. When the carpenter unpacked the first door it was badly damaged – no external signs on the packaging, but the door was unusable. We unpacked the rest and a similar story – no externally visible damage to the packing, but 4 more doors were damaged. The “good” 2 had some marks on the face, but at a push would have been OK. It looked like the doors had been damaged BEFORE they were packed. I contacted Wickes, but they pulled the “30 day returns policy” and refused to acknowledge the damage or do anything about it. So I have learned an expensive lesson – unpack anything you get delivered as soon as possible, don’t just trust the package being undamaged. Of course, I won't be buying anything expensive from Wickes ever again

    Simon the manager, was most helpful today when exchanging an item. The box was heavy and he helped me to get it out of the car and then put the new item in the car. This is above and beyond his call of duty and I am most grateful for his help. First class service, thank you Simon. Will definitely shop at your store in the future. 5 star rating
