We had the most amazing evening last night! The food, service and atmosphere was sensational. Best food in Worcester. The family that own this restaurant made it, the service was top notch, so attentive & friendly. The owner even went to the shop to buy us some baileys shots to end our meal. 10/10 would recommend, and we will be going again soon.

Me and my fiancΓ© have been dying to go here for months after hearing some really good reviews and boy it was worth the wait. The owner Alex was amazing and very attentive, and the waitress Guissell was great too. Very quickly got seated and an order in, drinks and food came our very promptly and food was absolutely amazing. Staff really go above and beyond to give the best customer experience. Atmosphere was lovely too.

Really enjoyed our recent trip to Island for.a birthday meal, the food is authenticly Greek and the portions are plenty ,the Baked feta was out of this world delicious! No one's leaving here hungry. The place itself is small with a rustic look that works perfectly. Service was great; the staff were all smiles and checked in on us just enough, it has a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for a dinner out. Booking is a must ! it was quite busy.

A real treat on every level! Me and my partner enjoy eating out quite regularly, and over the years we’ve found that if you want a truly amazing and memorable experience then you’re far better off steering clear of the big chain restaurants and instead searching out highly regarded independent restaurants, such as Island in Worcester. Our most recent trip was on one of their excellent Meze Nights – three courses, with multiple mouth-watering dishes per course, offering superb quality and quantity at a very reasonable price. The place was full, without feeling overcrowded, with a lively, joyful atmosphere and gentle Greek music playing in the background – which honestly made us feel transported from a cold and wet Worcester to a sunny, faraway Greek land. We were taken care of beautifully by the owner/chef and members of his family, and had several entertaining, funny and fascinating chats with him throughout the night. It was great to hear the story of how Island came to be, and a little bit about the recipes and techniques used to create their delicious dishes. The whole family really do know how to treat their customers and make them feel special and welcome. It genuinely makes all the difference because you get a whole experience, not just a fabulous meal. Even amongst the many lovely restaurants we’ve been fortunate enough to visit over the years, Island really does stand out. We can’t recommend it highly enough, and we hope Island is here to stay for many more years to come, so we can return whenever we want something extra special. Thanks guys!!

Oh my! What a gem! We go to Greece once a year and were very excited to find this family run restaurant and what a joy it was! The food was simply stunning! They only serve Greek wine (as they should) and let you try it before purchasing a glass or bottle so you know you will like it which is unusual but absolutely brilliant. The halloumi was just perfect and I loved the Greek potatoes and tzatziki! All the meats were really great as well. Oh and the cherry port at the end was truly a cherry on top :) Could not fault a thing. The atmosphere is just lovely. Felt like a night in Greece. Cannot wait to come again, thank you for a wonderful night. Yamas! :) We will be back soon :)

One of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of visiting in a while. I was taken there by some friends as a birthday gift. The restaurant is small and intimate with a fantastic friendly welcoming atmosphere. The menu was absolutely typically Greek, with all the favourites. The main course I opted for was for 2 persons, but without hesitation the owner said I could have it for one person and halved the price. We had a fantastic evening there and have already booked our return visit before we left that night. Would highly recommend

I'm glad I discovered this restaurant. Such a nice place. Friendly staff and the food is absolutely delicious and they serve big portions. Highly recommended to visit! P.S.: make a reservation because it fills up quickly.

Attentive service. Clearly a family run restaurant. Father and daughter where running the restaurant when we dined. My partner booked by the mother via email and being from Kent he asked where to park. Very helpfully was given address of local cheap car park Would recommend Food very good quality

Incredible restaurant, food and staff!!! Seriously delicious food, I was the most impressed with the tzaziki and baklava, best ones I have ever eaten! They give you free olives and bread when you first come in and end you with glass of port style wine, also gratis. Prices are very good, staff are lovely and authentic, decor is stunning and the music is fun and puts you in the right mood. I had three starters instead of the main so that I get to try lots of things and it was not a problem at all. Also let us book on the day, very accommodating! Will definitely be back to try more things! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

My friends booked this place as they love to come here for dinner and now I understand why. It's a lovely Greek restaurant, decorated to remind you of Greece. The host, a gentleman, was lovely and very funny. The food was amazing, from starters to the mains to the Greek coffee. Lovely. Music good as well. Absolutely loved it.
