   Really wouldn't recommend this branch at all. Popped in on a Saturday after 9am expecting it to be busy. Was initially happy to see it was quiet, but soon realised why. Firstly, it took a while to get served despite there being no queue because nobody was manning the counter. Not sure if this was because of the drive-thru orders. We put in our usual order of two flat whites and two babyccino hot chocolates. The marshmallows were from a jar with no lid being used and they'd gone all dry. The spoons we were given were not clean. My kids, who can occasionally drink 2 babyccinos in one sitting said it had a strange taste here and drank less than half the tiny cups before abandoning them. My wife and I also felt the same about our coffees, I just about managed to finish mine, she left hers after a few sips. After we left, I ended up buying a bottle of cola from nearby so we could take the taste away. This was actually our second visit here. It had been quite bad last time and we thought maybe it was a one off, but it was even worse this time.

   Great service food tasty but always have problems where to sit even when it's quiet, tables don't get cleaned over customers plates, cups etc..... cluttering tables people having to move other people's things off tables just to sit down always the same even when plenty of staff on duty still no one comes out to clean tables. Not good at all. Oh and toilets are a disgrace never look like they've been cleaned and never any toilet paper.

   The coffee is ok but the drive thru is the slowest experience ever. Staff seem incompetent for it. It used to be decent but oh my life it's beyond slow now. It's annoying it's my local coffee shop. 10 mins at a drive thru and still not taking the order is below satisfactory. I hate moaning but this isn't a one off experience, it's constant now.

   The cappuccino I had from Costa castlegate was the best cappuccino I've had in a long time , the young lad that made the drink was polite and was very friendly. I've been to a lot of coffee places and this has been the best coffee and best atmosphere by far .

   Says on website opens at 6am, waited outside the door for 10 mins, the lady was stacking the shelves right in front of me, I tapped on the window twice but was clearly ignored. If you've changed your opening times please do let people know, it would have been nice to be acknowledged and informed of this.

   I usually do a lot of meet ups with clients here, nice relaxed atmosphere and decent coffee, however last time it was shut entirely and a time before that they started to close sections of the shop down a couple of hours before closing so they can clean and tidy area by area.. this made it very restrictive on where to sit. for this reason I have had 2 meetings in the hungry horse next door but we shouldnt have to do this. Quite a few 1* ratings recently, not sure if they are granted but maybe things do need to pick up a little?

   Nice Costa on the Castlegate complex The staff are pleasant and there is plenty of seating. The store is clean and is not that busy. Also has a drive thru but I've never had to use it. The food and drinks here are good and the coffees are very well made and taste amazing.
