We did Dead Man’s Chest and we were very disappointed! Other rooms at Lucado have been great but I wouldn’t class this as an escape room at all. It’s simply a puzzle and should inly be advertised for two people. The is no locks, no looking for clues in different places, couldn’t solve two puzzles at once, just very disappointed. If someone did this as a first escape room, they wouldn’t do another. Would not recommend.

We played Space Evaders and Ellen was our host. She explained the game well and only gave clues when we really needed them which was great. The game itself was really fun, we did it as a team of 4 and there was plenty for each of us to do. We've played many escape rooms before and this room offered a loads of puzzles and with varying difficulty, so something for everyone. Would recommend!

Lucardo escape rooms are very well done.Three of us did Space Evader and the room design and theme is spot on. It’s also not a linear game which we loved so we could all work on different elements. Ellen was great and we managed to get 34 fuel rods! I’d highly recommend Lucardo rooms. So much fun and a a great time.

My partner booked the Wizards Chest for four of us to celebrate my birthday. The four of us usually love escape rooms, tabletop games and logic puzzles but we were pretty unimpressed by the Wizards Chest. The puzzles did not seem very logical and some of the clues were straight up unhelpful. At one point, I kid you not, a pre-recorded voice from the chest told us “the crystals; something happens with them.” We literally had a laugh at what a terrible clue that was. It was also disappointingly linear. One of the things we love about an escape room is that there’s usually multiple puzzles to solve at once, allowing every member of the group to always remain engaged on a task. It seems wild to me that they would allow four people to book an experience where you can only solve one puzzle at a time. We felt we got a pretty cold greeting from the staff member running the room. He wasn’t very warm and friendly and rather than explaining the game in a fun and engaging way, he just gave us a printed laminate to read. We asked if there was anywhere we could leave our coats and he told us to just dump them in the room. The room that housed the chest had clearly been used as an escape room in the past as the walls were covered in intriguing clues, so it was a little disappointing to learn that these clues had nothing to do with the chest itself. It might have been nice once in a while to have to look elsewhere in the room for clues to solve the chest’s various puzzles. The last straw for us was that one of the puzzles didn’t even work properly, we were struggling with it for ages before we realised it was faulty which cost us a lot of time. The staff member acknowledged that it was temperamental, he even gave it a try and couldn’t get it to work, but didn’t offer any gesture of recompense or even a meaningful apology. Left feeling disappointed, definitely not worth £80. Wouldn’t book again.

I've been to Lucardo three times and it's been brilliant every time. The rooms have a good variety of puzzles to solve and have high production values. Last time I was there Sarah was running the game and she was ace, really friendly and helpful and at the end took us back through the room (the space one) and showed us the few clues we missed. Definitely will be returning here in the future!

Great puzzles and very immersive stories. The rooms are well kept, the staff great and the location is very central in Manchester. Only constructive feedback is that it is not very accessible, I understand it can be difficult to create and accessible room, but it would be worth a try. We love escape rooms and we will definitely be coming back

We did the murder themed room. Really enjoyed it and the game host was very helpful. Managed to escape with 13 minutes left. Would love to go again. Only reason I have not rated 5 stars is because I wish the other rooms could be booked for just 2 people.

We tried the "Space Evader" room as a family. It was different from other rooms we have tried as you just have to solve as many puzzles as you can in the 1 hour. Plenty of variety in the puzzles and a decent set layout. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price was quite reasonable compared to other places.

One of the best escape rooms I've been to! We did The Orphanage room and it was so much fun although not for the faint hearted! You're working in very low light and sometimes pitch black! I don't scare easily and the amazing staff there managed to get me screaming. The guy that was our guide had a brilliant sense of humour, was amazing with giving us a few clues here and there and made the whole experience 10 times better. I can't remember his name but you did great! We'll definitely be coming back again.
