We weren't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be great fun for kids, parents and aunt. We made a late booking on the phone. The Forger room was ingenious in its design and although we did 'escape', we had a few hints fed in. Chris and other staff were friendly and helpful. Next time we're in the the area we'd love to try another room.
We liked the sound of The Forger - perfect for the arty relative whose birthday we were celebrating. Staff gave us a warm friendly welcome and finely judged and timed clues. Great fun - will return to try the other rooms.
We did the Dark Ages room this afternoon with our 8 year old grandson and we escaped with 37 seconds left! Very enjoyable and Chris hosting today was super helpful with us. A massive hit with us all and I highly recommend supporting this independent local business plus free parking behind in the retail park for 3 hours .
We had a great time. Plenty to do and very imaginative. Some very clever puzzles and some easier ones but all solvable with a bit of joint effort. The group was aged 15 to 71 and it worked very well. I'm sure we will back again for one of the other scenarios.
We did the Endless Energy room, which was certainly a challenge, though that's what we wanted. There were some particularly neat touches that we hadn't seen in previous rooms, and the clues were delivered as gentle nudges at just the right time. A friendly welcome from an enthusiastic host, I'm certain to return.
The girls (11 and 13 years old) and I really enjoyed the Dark Ages themed room. It was our first time trying an escape room and everything was brilliantly explained. We managed to crack the puzzles with only a little bit of help. We had a great time and are keen to go back and try the other rooms.
We did the forger puzzle (art themed), was a nice balance of puzzles, stopping to think at a couple of minutes, very polite staff running the game. A good use of a wet afternoon.
I had my first escape room at Code to Exit and it was fantastic! The owner helped us choose the best game for us as inexperienced players, and the way the room is handled is great. Overall we had a fantastic time and will be back in the future.
Really great place for a perfectly reasonable price. The escape room we played was surprisingly elaborate, packing a lot into a small space - yet always made sense and had a continuous direction throughout. Never found ourselves completely stuck and unable to progress. Host will provide clues without ruining anything or removing any sense of reward/achievement. Highly recommend :)
