Avoid Row B of Tier 1. It is not noted anywhere when booking, but these seats are incredibly uncomfortable and oddly high loose “breakfast bar” type seats. There is no choice but to rest your feet on the painful metal bar they’re so high, and not deep enough to sit back properly. Even after a 1 hour ~ comedy show I was glad it was ending. Lowry, please either change these seat designs or very clearly inform people when booking. People next to us ended up moving at the break as they couldn’t stick it. Staff upon entering were all great as usual.

We both visited the Lowry theatre last night for the Jimmy cricket 80th birthday party charity celebration for the Francis house charity which we both enjoyed with an excellent line up of celebrities. We must say that the theatre seating does leave a lot to be desired in terms of seating size and room, but overall an excellent night.

I'm trying to book a ticket to see "The Untold Story of Ursula," but I've hit a major snag. My friends all booked earlier, and I just got my time off work approved. Now that I'm trying to purchase my seat, the system won't let me book just one ticket! I'm being forced to buy two seats. This isn't just an inconvenience; it's an outright financial penalty. My mates each paid £41 (including fees). To sit right next to them in the same row, I would have to pay £48.50 (including fees) for a single ticket, if the system would even allow it. Since I have to buy two, I'm being charged for a completely unnecessary second seat (obviously, not stupid enough in buying two). This is absolutely disgusting and feels like pure exploitation. And while I'm on the topic, I find your booking fee policy equally unacceptable. It's ridiculous that I, the customer, perform all the work to process the transaction, yet you charge a fee for your machine to process the ticket. This automated charge, on top of the inflated single ticket price, is completely uncalled for.

My first visit to the Quays Theatre, Salford, and first impressions are good! Welcoming and efficient staff made my arrival pleasant. The signage inside is well thought through, and the Quays Bar outside the auditorium is a great space for a pre theatre drink with wonderful views over Salford Quay itself. I was less keen on the auditorium. The dark red, gloomily lit interior felt oppressive. The seats, though comfortable and with adequate leg room, are rather shop worn. I was at the Quays Theatre to see "42 Balloons", a wonderful and 'uplifting' (geddit) new true story musical about a man (Larry), the girl who loved him (Carol) and his flight in 1982 over the skies of Los Angeles in a lawn chair lifted up by 42 weather balloons. Do see this show. Like Larry, it really flies !

We've been to see BGT auditions and absolutely love it , it's hard to get some to drink during the show but they allowed sealed containers

Beautiful theatre in top location! We loved the community feel of this place which is linked to The Lowry and has great gallery and community art on display as well as a lovely shop, café and ongoing superb theatre productions. A treat for all we think.

Lovely little theatre within the Lowry. The theatre is smaller than the Lyric Theatre and has its own bar and toilets. I've sat in a variety of different seats and all had good views and were comfortable.
