I was taken to the Glow event as a surprise date. Even though it was raining we had a fantastic time. The entrance hall was packed with families enjoying a pre Christmas evening out. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The lights were amazing and soft music in the background helped to create a magical atmosphere. The Moonlight Gardener show was captivating and perfect for all ages. There were a number of food and drink vans halfway along the trail and we enjoyed a hot Vimto. Overall this was event was an excellent experience that I would recommend to people of all ages. We will definitely be going back to experience the gardens in the daytime.

I'm a member and visit frequently . It's been a delight to see how the gardens have evolved over time and the keen gardener will find plenty of food for thought and practical ideas to take home. Personally I wish they would up their retail game as the plant shop has very little that reflects the garden itself and is all rather "garden centre" but it's still all well worth a day out , and return visits at different times of year

These gardens are lovely to walk around. Lots of beautiful plants and trees. They have a lovely childrens area. We didn't go to the forest part so can't comment on that. In the walled garden, they have vegetables growing and there was an opportunity to purchase surplus veg which we took advantage of. There is a pizza place within the gardens which was open and a cafe which I think they open on busier days. They have a lovely cafe which is fairly priced and you can sit outside overlooking water or inside. We had jacket potato and they were a generous size and had a generous filling. They have a gift shop and garden centre.

After watching the building of this wonderful site I along with my daughter journeyed to see how things had turned out. We were not disappointed. We picked a day that was wall to wall sunshine and reasonable temperatures and just wandered around the beautifully structured paths and just kept finding areas of delight. It was busy but never felt overwhelming. Lovely to see RHS seating on quite a sizeably made lawn area. Stopped for a pitza (a real one) and a coffee, reasonably priced and delicious with hardly any waiting time. Continued our walk through the Forest walk and onto the lake. An absolutely wonderful unhurried day.

I loved this garden and had been waiting to have the opportunity to visit. Well worth the wait. Welcome building and facilities ultra modern. Gardens are still a work in progress but lots to see. Cafe in the grounds and lots of places to have a picnic. I especially liked the paradise garden and Japanese stream garden, which will look fantastic when completed.

Stunning. Incredible gardens, brilliant place for all to enjoy. The play area is also fantastic for kids of all ages! And the food is delicious. Such a good idea using wasp traps in the garden (may be a good idea to dot some about the outdoor cafe area at the main site)

A really fabulous day here. Beautiful gardens and a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The walled gardens were lovely with so many different areas, veg, sunflowers, pools and community areas. The children's play area was excellent with plenty to climb, swing and explore. There was a path around Ellesmere Lake and views over the wild meadow to the canal, this then lead into the Chinese garden which was outstanding. We had a great day with 3 boys aged 7 & 12. You can see that so much hard work has gone into making the gardens beautiful again.

We came to the dog walking evening on the 27th of June. We had wanted to visit the gardens since they opened but this gave us, and our furry friends, the ideal opportunity to explore. What a resounding success it seemed to be. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the next one in July. Everybody we spoke to said the same as us. The gardens themselves are beautiful and we all enjoyed exploring. It is a place that is ever changing and I would like to see it in the different seasons. I really hope the dog friendly evenings remain a regular thing.
