   I had a very unpleasant experience at Matalan Hayes when I visited the store to exchange two items. The items were purchased on 4th December using a gift card. Unfortunately, I could not find the receipt, but I provided all the other purchase details. I tried to calmly explain the situation to *Tanya*, manager but behaved as if she were the owner. Instead of handling the matter professionally, she was extremely rude, arrogant, and verbally abusive. Her behaviour was so upsetting that it actually made me cry in the store. She said “you can do whatever you want, leave the clothes in there when I asked her that kindly please try to help me by going through your system”. What made the situation worse was that she then spoke negatively about me in front of me to another colleague, a man who said he was the co-manager. This was humiliating and completely unprofessional. At no point did anyone try to calm the situation, show empathy, or even apologise for the way I was treated. Customer service should never involve making a customer feel belittled or distressed. I left the store feeling shocked, hurt, and disrespected. This experience has seriously affected my view of MATALAN, and I hope senior management takes this feedback seriously to prevent other customers from being treated the same way.The worst ever experience. For the rest of the customers please be aware of this lady.

   I visited Matalan for the first time yesterday, and I was thoroughly impressed! The store had an excellent variety of products, catering to different tastes and styles. The quality of the items, especially in clothing and home goods, stood out to me—it’s rare to find such a great balance between affordability and craftsmanship. The layout was easy to navigate, and the staff were helpful and friendly, making my shopping experience even better.

Although I prefer to shop in-store, circumstances have prevented me from doing so in recent months, and I’ve had to rely on online shopping.    Large and spacious cheap clothing shop. The staff are attentive and helpful. Extra facilities include an amazon collection point, and dod deliveries can also be directed here, to be collected from behind the counters. Best cycle parking is probably one of the reddish steel Street light protectors, the one nearest to the car park exit is more out of the way of cars than the others.

   Called them to check stock as the click collect takes 5 days. I needed a black poncho I saw on website. Ramna kindly reserved for me to collect the same day from the stores. That’s customer services well done merry Christmas

   I had a good experience with Matalan Hayes. I went shopping after my office and I was late. Though they were going to shut the store soon, the staff was really helpful in that they helped me get the things I needed. They were very friendly. I could not apply the coupon I had but I am happy with the service I received. Thank you

   Staff's are very friendly. Lots of clothes stock but it’s very difficult to get the proper size because most of the sizes are larger than the average. Plenty of parking spaces on site.
