   I recently visited and found something I really liked in the sale but needed a smaller size. Instead of just giving the usual “all our sizes are out” that you typically get the store assistant started ringing round other stores that showed as having stock on their system. Within minutes she found one, I paid over the phone to the other store and two days later it was delivered to my home. At this time of year they must all be so busy, so for two stores to go out of their way to get me an item seems exceptional.

   I want to give the staff at Whistles in Guildford a 5 star. They helped me select a lovely blue dress for a family wedding. I could not fault their care and attention. Unfortunately the dress is such a let down that it will have to be returned (navy cowl neck satin maxi dress). The zip on the side of the dress doesn't sit flat but worse still by the time I got home the dress was a mass of creases. I have steamed the dress and the wrinkles dropped slightly but the moment I tried it on and sat down it creased up again. If I wore it for an entire day it would look terrible with all the creases. The dress cost over £200 but unfortunately it isn't worth that sort of money.

   My first visit to Guildford and to Whistles shop. Excellent customer service from staff who were very helpful and cheerful. The shop was busy, I am not surprised, this did not deter from the service. I wish I lived nearer! Will definitely visit again when in the area.
