I went with my family and friends tonight. We had amazing food which was served sizzling and packed with flavours. Service was amazing from Sam. The chef was polite and Cheerful. We had a friendly game of pool and played music on the juke box. Lovely evening out .
Amazing place. Was visiting just for a day, for basketball tournament, decided to come down for victory drinks and meal. Just wow… Food was so delicious and amazing portions for the value. Staff is very welcoming and make u feel at home. Highly recommended to visit if you are passing buy or staying in Birmingham. Thank you guys
I have to leave a review for this pub as it’s our regular, honestly one of the best pubs I’ve been to… The service is 10/10 and the atmosphere is incredible, all staff are friendly and Sam is very attentive and makes sure you’re well catered for. I’d highly recommend the Shireland and would also say it’s suitable for families and any occasion. Thanks again x

Awful place. EDIT: Apparently I am 'fake' & have never been to this pub. Here's a photo I took as I left the dump - so at the very least the reader knows the proprietor is a liar.
A good clean place to have proper desi grub and a good set of beers/spirits around Smethwick. Live football with multiple screens and ample parking available Lot of seating options for small and large group of people I have had my best curries from this place.
Staff and punters are really greeting. Food is great and the veg in my curry was really fresh. Great variety of premium beer and prices are good. Great sports bar and loads of screens. Walk in before making any judgements, would recommend.
The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted it was yum Absolutely the best meal we had while.Highly recommend!
Old review read below..... Been wanting to check this place out for months finally made it..... Ordered lamb rogan josh, chicken bhuna, large mix grill and 4 tandoori roti, 2coors pints and cobra followed by a few jamesons and jds..... THE GOOD Mixed grill- the sheesh kebabs were awesome as were the lamb chops. The chicken needed a bit more flavour but was still decent enough all in all a nice mixed grill. Chicken curry full of flavour no complaints, lamb curry OMG the lamb just melted this was amazing fresh and lush! The chappatis spot on. THE BAD The coors pints were watered down not impressed but cobra was spot on as were the spirits. The table we sat at needed a clean no one bothered so we did it ourselves with some tissues etc. Will definitely revisit..... bumped into my uncle who also recommends another place up the road so look out for my reviews people! New review As some may see ive been regular at the shireland the foods never been a let down until the 30th December 2016. The lads wanted a pre nye grill and curry so i convinced them to go shirelands instead of merry maid. So we got there ordered a large mixed grill, chilli chicken, chips, 2 lamb currys fish pakoras basically we ordered a feast and spent somewhere close to £100 between 4 of us. The currys did not taste anywhere close to the normal standard and there was definitely something wrong.... well lets just say one of the lads started suffering some "pains". Three of us spent nye and new yrs day severely unwell i shall leave out the details but i definitely am not impressed. Doubt very much we will be returning.
