The Brit has become my local even though it is well over a 1km wall away. Years ago it served food but since it only serves bar snacks / cobs but they do allow you to bring in your own food which is handy. You can even order off Uber eats / take aways and have it delivered into the pub to your table. This is a nice touch as it means the menu is unlimited because of take aways you can have. The pub itself is very cosy, it has old pub charms that I feel lots of pubs lack nowadays. It has numerous rooms and plenty of seating. They host lots of entertainment each month from darts nights, quizzes, live singers etc. in the summer it has a large beer garden which backs o to Britannia park. Winter they have coal fires ablaze which again adds to the old school charm. The staff are pleasant and friendly and no issues getting served. If the pub is busy it can take a while to be served but that's expected. Beers are good and they have a lot of choices and new beers are regularly put on. The beers are what bring me to the place as it has a nice selection as opposed to bog standard lagers, ciders and Guinness. It's family friendly and we go with our kids who enjoy going. My eldest takes his darts and enjoyed having a go on the dart board. They are dog friendly and you always get lots of pooches who always get plenty of strokes and head scratches from the punters. In a time when public houses are disappearing from the streets it's good to see the Brit keeping social drinking going with keeping it traditional as well as with the times.

Lovely relaxing evening (we went early evening on Friday) they had my favourite rhubarb cider which was a bonus! Lots of varieties of drinks available and different sitting areas, we chose the comfy sofa! We had a lovely hot pork cob. Plenty of filling, nice and hot, very filling. The lady behind the bar apologised when we ordered 'in case there was a delay' she was on her own at the time. Food came out within a reasonable time. Great service, great food, great cider, great comfort....what more can you ask? Thank you, we'll be back x

Amazing decor, friendly staff and great ales. We visited this pub at part of the Blackheath ale tour. Wow. The interior decorations and styling are something else. Really, worth visiting for that alone! Bar staff were really friendly and delicious ales were on tap too! Highly recommend a visit!

Good ale and friendly staff. What more could a girl ask for? Oh yeah, karaoke on a Friday night and a loyalty card for your beer!

Very small and cold. Was there for a relatives funeral. There were no hot drinks even though a tea ern was requested. The food was basic and nice. Open fire lit too late and not kept alight.

Great pub, friendly staff and visitors. The food was lovely, we had chilli con carne. The menu looked quite extensive and yummy. We came to see a band perform, would like to come back and sit outside in the garden on the comfy looking sofas.
