Stopped by for a quick bite and was genuinely impressed. The service was fast, the café spotless, and the open kitchen setup gave full confidence in their hygiene standards—everything looked immaculate. Ordered a burger, chips, onion rings, and a can of pop. Skipped the salad, and they kindly filled the plate with extra chips—generous portions all round! The food was hot, fresh, and satisfying. Too many chips? Maybe—but not complaining! The atmosphere was calm and cheerful, with happy diners all around. Staff were friendly, and food was delivered promptly to our table. A great spot for a relaxed meal with good value and a welcoming vibe.

If google reviews added more stars I'd give this place a 10. This cafe is a great small cafe serving delicious meals such as breakfast and lunch. The cafe is located in the Collandes which is isnt far from the centre of Doncatser . We have visited a couple of times and have never been disappointed. The cleanliness of the cafe is outstandingly amazing. With the staff mopping , sweeping cleaning tables and the cutterly being as shiny as glass. If your looking for delicious meals this place is a definite recommended cafe.

I've been holding off doing a review for this place because I don't really want to say anything negative. I've been a couple of times previously for breakfast, and it was very nice, I just never got round to doing the review. Unfortunately, on this visit, things were a little different. Two of us had mouldy toast, and I also had shell in my fried egg (but it didn't stop us from eating the rest). I do like this place and didn't want to kick off about it, so I had a quiet word with the guy behind the counter. He couldn't apologise enough and offered me a refund, which I refused, and then he came to our table and offered us some free food, which we also refused. I only informed him because I didn't want anyone else to have the same experience. The people working there are really nice and the food has been great on previous occasions. Maybe we were just unlucky this time. I'm not sure if we will be returning though. It is a shame because, as I said, I did like this place, jury's out for now.

Come in today with my daughter for some breakfast, sat down, was told to move to another seat because the door kept opening and customers were complaining. First of all why put a table next to the door if you are going to complain people are cold? Then was given funny looks from staff and a customer because my child was chatting away, despite that still ordered as we was hungry, I got a Sausage Egg bacon sandwich and got child the same in a kids meal. The presentation was diabolical. It cost me £15 for 2 shoddy plates of food and a coffee. The entire time we was there staff was just staring at us made us feel so uncomfortable we ate our food as quickly as possible just to get out of there. Have visited a few times over the years and never had any complaints up until today. Food is way overpriced for what you actually get. Would have been cheaper to make it at home. Will not be returning this cafe has gone downhill. Not happy. The only good thing about the place is that it was really clean and a young lady behind the counter was very nice but other than that it was not a very good experience.

Only popped in for a coffee whilst awaiting an appointment but the barista was friendly and polite and a Latte made with skimmed milk was no problem. Not scored the food as I didn't order any, but you can see onto the prep area and all was orderly and clean. Staff seemed happy to work there. Reasonably priced. Recommended.

When we visit Doncaster, which honestly is not often, this is the place we visit to eat. Clean, very pleasant staff, reasonable prices, with generous portions. Well worth a visit

First of all this hidden gem is a very clean and smart looking cafe. The price is reasonable and the staff are very polite and have great customer service skills. The cafe is a nice open space with very nice decor they have music in the background so not to be overpowering.there is a large outdoor seating area under cover for smokers or if you would just like to be seated outside also there is the benefit of free WI-FI.i had a very nice experience here thank you

Update 2 years later: £9.50 for a jacket potato and a coffee! Outrageous. The skin on the potato wasn’t edible and they didn’t seem to understand what beans & coleslaw means (see pic) My Step-Mum’s bacon roll was a huge roll with 2 tiny bits of bacon. Won’t be going back as it’s just over-priced nowadays. 2018: Lovely café, always go here when I’m in Donny. Since the renovation it’s huge and looks really nice. The menu is very very long, could say too much choice even! Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. Good grub indeed !
