   I had found some hard to find vintage rear wheel bearing cups and cones advertised by Autocycle Engineering on ebay but not in the size I required. A phone call to Chris and he was more than happy to spend a bit of time searching for the ones I needed (if he had them). These are quite small items and I was more than delighted to find out he could supply old stock in good condition. For me Chris went the extra mile as these wee items are so hard to find these days and it gets another old bike back on the road. Brilliant service.

   Phoned looking for a very late triumph tank. The owner promised to look over the weekend, which he did. He gave a honest description of condition together with dimensions, and the price was set accordingly. It was delivered safely, very well packed with a few other items to save on postage.    I dont know what Robin Stone's whinging about , A.C.E don't work on Triumphs - or any other bikes , they let go of all the mechanics over 20 years ago. If you turn up anywhere without an appointment you're going to waste your time. The owner of this place doesn't have much time for idiots , anyone still in business after 49 yrs must be doing something right

   I called in yesterday to buy a mudguard. What a wonderful place! It’s like going back in time. An Aladdin’s cave of hard to find parts for British bikes. Chris is really helpful, and a thoroughly nice chap. I really don’t understand the negative review. Says more about the reviewer than Chris... He had the right section of mudguard I needed, and when I said it was too long for my particular application, he cut it down and lipped it for me while I waited! It wasn’t expensive either. Fantastic service, great stock and excellent service. Rare to find, these days... Highly recommended. Thanks Chris!

   The only reason this place survives is because it still has some NOS parts.Opening times depend on the mood of Chris so best phone before you set out to visit.His rudness and customer service skills make Basil Faulty look like Mother Terresa.You can get some rare parts but be ready for the antics of Chris.1950's customer service
