   I'm 71 and needed a good pair of supportive trainers to help to cope with plantar faciitis. I was helped by a young man called Maveric. He was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the problem, the sort of trainer I needed within my budget and he took his time to find the right trainers for me. He was kind, patient and respectful. On the way out I spoke to the person in charge to feed back how impressed I was with him. As I left, Maverick appeared again to give me information about exercises and tips on dealing with the discomfort. I was blown away with his service. Also the trainers are incredibly comfortable. I'll definately go back.

   I was very pleased with the way they handled my return. Rosie was very helpful and kind. She helped me with the same courtesy as if I were buying something. Beside they have a very good variety of sports clothing, shoes and accessories too.

   I.m used to jd sports having disinterested staff so when I visited the epsom branch I was pleasantly surprised. The young man who helped me was proactive and patient, friendly and smiley. I was so impressed I went out of my way to go here last week after receiving some vouchers for my kids. Again the staff were great. Girl on the till really patient and helpful and helped me with my vouchers and jd status points. I saw the same young man and he was friendly and chatty. Makes such a difference. I will visit again

   New employee was really helpful and nice! Didn't catch his name. The manger/supervisor was girl with a name beginning with J. Not nice. I asked for a discount because the last pair of display shoes had a mark on them and looked worn. It had the toe crease already. She said that there was nothing wrong with them as she was trying to rub the mark off with her thumb. Offered a tiny discount because, "there's nothing wrong with them". Then why you rubbing the mark off that, btw, didn't come off?! Was going to buy 2 different pairs £300 total. Sorry, not from here. She was rude. To J, it's not your money. You want sales, not unhappy customers.

   So the "King of Trainers" really is just the King of Trainers. What happened to equality? The women's range of trainers is no more than a third of the size of the men's range. And the women's clothing section is not much better. JD have just opened a new store in the Ashley Centre and barely catered for women in this move. It is absolutely appalling that they do not see the importance of providing sports clothing for women. So many women are still wary of gym environments and it is hardly surprising when sports shops do not see fit to cater for them. All this shop is doing is promoting the old-fashioned belief that women should not go to the gym. JD need to up their game and get themselves into the 21st century. I will not be shopping here if they continue to discriminate against women, I hope others have the sense to do the same.

   Yeah nice stuff but they had some Dunlow working in there today. He kept losing trainers. Looked like the manager was getting a bit peed off. Got some lovely original vans today though.
