We were enjoying a weekend away in Linton and booked a table at The Windmill for Sunday lunch. Highly recommend. We were very well looked after by the deputy manager, Renee. Meal and service was excellent.

Cosy pub, serves good food and beer. Nice and clean inside, plenty of parking space. Was able to just walk in and get a drink and seat without booking. Easy to get to from A1 / Wetherby / Harrogate / Otley.

We had the Sunday roast which was amazing...Good selection of vegetables nice amount of meat which was tender. Lots of gravy. Food came out piping hot. A great traditional pub with a traditional menu. Made a nice rarity as a lot of pubs are now part of a chain going down the gastro menu. The pub was also very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work

Amazing service and hospitality when holding our Engagement party last weekend. Can’t express how grateful we are for the venue and the staff, such a lovely evening, great venue, fanatic staff and delicious food! Wouldn’t hesitate to book another function here, just fantastic! A credit to the team!

Review based on food and customer service only. 1st visit since The Windmill reopened. This was a family get together for lunch, with family members having travelled close on 400 miles to be there. Initial thoughts on entering, our table was booked in advance to ensure a table yet no evidence of the booking in diary. Table cubbled together to accommodate with minimal room initially. Thankfully the landlord ( I presume) created extra space for our party which we appreciated. Menus presented, drinks order and food order taken in due course. Drinks arrived quickly, however cannot say such about the food. The food took nearly 60 minutes to arrive. When the food did finally arrive, some of the order was wrong. Thankfully this was quickly rectified by the waitress once made aware. Unfortunately we still had to wait for the final meal for our table to arrive so we could all eat together. Sadly the quality of the food was poor. I'm not sure how qualified catering staff can get cooking pub classics so wrong. All the food came out luke warm. Chips should be golden brown, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Ours came out, pale in colour, greasy, barely warm and tasteless. COME ON. All the meals were mediocre at best. Sadly, this was a treat from our parents who are of an age and generation who find it difficult and awkward to challenge poor standards, service and food quality. On this basis , I cannot recommend visiting this establishment for food or service. So disappointed with The Windmill, especially due it's prime location in a very wealthy and sought after neighborhood. Must try harder.

Like stepping back in time, a real old fashioned pub! I think it will be like Marmite, you will either love or hate it! We only used the car park entrance and it could present some hazards, if you have any mobility issues.

Short notice decision to book for lunch on a midweek. Pleasingly busy given the current financial climate. Nice menu, great staff. Mum loved being able to have a smaller portion from main menu. Steak pie was excellent. Couldn't find a single piece of fat or gristle if I tried. Would be back more often if lived locally.

Lovely pub. Good meals. We all ate well. Grown ups. Kids. For me I wish they served breakfast all day. More veggie options would be nice though my haloumi burger was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. A good place to stop for a meal. Garden out the back.
