The sales team were great, we ordered the wrong finish for the bed, a quick phone call and it was sorted out. Just waiting now for the bed to be delivered, so will write another review once we have the bed, but so far a very good experience.

I’m really pleased with our bed frame from The English Bed Company, which we received about a month ago now. The ordering and delivery process was straightforward, and although the wait time was a bit longer for a handmade piece of furniture, we were kept informed at all times. Even the delivery, which was made trickier by the layout of our house, was as seamless as possible and every member of staff we have dealt with has been helpful. The bed frame looks beautiful, is of a high quality and is well made - I hope it will last us many many years. I would definitely consider using The English Bed Company again in the future for furniture and other home furnishings.

I can only echo the other poor reviews unfortunately- we ordered an emperor framed bed from this company (the clue is in the name of- English!) and only when our mattress arrived from another well known UK company did it become apparent that the bed frame was American sized not English. Raising the matter was met with dismissal - BUYERS BEWARE - the beds made by this company are non standard and completely bespoke sized - it is done so you only have the option of ordering their own bespoke mattress sizes, and then of course their own bespoke bedding sizes. Don’t spend the thousands we did on disappointment and poor customer service

We had delivery of our Hathaway Emperor Bed & Mattress last week and honestly — I’m lost for words! This has been one of the best purchases we’ve ever made. We were really impressed with the fabric samples and brochure sent out, they made choosing so much easier. The bed was even ready earlier than expected, and we’re absolutely over the moon with the quality and craftsmanship. It’s huge, luxurious, and worth every penny. I can’t wait to show it off! Already told our nearest & dearest all about EBC — we’re that impressed.

We’ve had our bed from The English Bed Company for over five years now, and it still looks as good as new. The fabric is top quality, durable, and easy to clean. A few months after purchase, we contacted the aftercare team about a care guide — the sales manager happily sent one over straight away. We couldn’t be more grateful, as the bed remains in pristine condition. The showroom experience was excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout. Compared to other beds and manufacturers, nothing matches the quality here. We wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.

I absolutely GIVE UP. Why oh why didn’t I read the reviews!! Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced- our mattress has been promised to be delivered on 3 occasions - they just aren’t getting back to me at this point! Almost a month of waiting at this stage when it came into their warehouse a few days after purchase. Every time you call, someone’s ‘on lunch’ just ‘popped out’ they’re so unprofessional and it’s absolutely infuriating being lied to over and over again!!!

I purchased a Rowe headboard and a Hemingway full bed from The English Bed Company, a couple of years ago. I was extremely pleased with both on arrival, and even two years later then still look beautiful. They really add a luxury feel to our bedrooms and my only regret is that I didn’t buy the full Rowe bed! I would highly recommend this company and the quality products they produce.

Don't usually leave reviews, but unfortunately in this instance I had to. After purchasing a beautiful looking bed from them online (one they had in stock/showroom), the couriers they used arrived, and fitted the bed. This is when the problems started. Not only were my walls bashed and skirting board chipped by the shoddy cheap delivery company they use, the bed itself came faulty, with 4 holes in the wrong end of the divan, and the wing head boar being nearly 2 inches too large either side. They also used the wrong bolts to attach the headboard tot he divan, and gave me the correct ones when leaving saying i could use them to attach drawers to the end? Odd. After raising these concerns with the company on the phone on a number of times, followed up by various chaser emails, only a week or so after did i get an short email saying they could offer me a refund of £150 for the extra holes, and that the wing headboard was supposed to be like that - totally unacceptable and unprofessional. After spending over £1000 for a bed, i wasn't prepared to accept the £150 discount as the bed was faulty! So i booked the return in, the dodgy delivery company came back to collect it, took the bed apart, bashed a few more walls and also marked the bed in the process with black marks, which i can only presume is from the tools they brought with them. Currently waiting on my full refund. So, if you order from this company, please be mindful that if you order a Divan bed with wing head board, apparently they aren't flush to the divan and the black mesh is therefore exposed at the back, and your halls and walls will probably be scuffed by a pair of wonderful delivery men, who leave accidental voicemails when you don't pick up, saying 'She getter be F**ing in as it went to her F**ing voicemail. Love our new emperor size Hemingway bed we ordered from The English Bed Company. I hadn't read the reviews here before ordering, I'm glad I didn't because it might have put me off unnecessarily! I have had no problems at all with these guys, I called before ordering on a couple of occasions to check sale dates and fabric range changes and both times the staff on the phone were friendly and helpful. Our order fell into the Covid lockdown time frame which of course delayed it through no fault of the EBC but they kept me updated via email as to the stop and start of production. The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is due to the manner in which the sales assistant responded to queries I had post delivery, otherwise I am very pleased with our lovely big bed and the service received!
