All started positive with Helpful tech advise…but sales after service terrible! Wanted to fit a Sony XAV-AX8050D head unit to use as a screen for a new reversing camera. I was recommended connects2 for the installation kit and camera setup…. As there were so many camera options on the website, I rang technical helpline and they happily went over the options of the cameras and which wiring loom and kit to go for. Perfect I thought. I chose the camera, You can’t buy direct so I purchase via a supplier….then I was told the camera was out of stock and they didn’t know when they were coming in. That’s fine, they refunded the item. I then rang connects2 tech and got a list of suitable cameras again and they put me though to sales to check which cameras they had recommended to me. I was on the phone for 16minutes going back and forth with tech and sales as they didn’t have anything in. I decided on the Cam-61 and scoured the camera online. I came to fit the Install kit - CTKVW23 - All fitted nicely. All working. Then I came to fit the C2 VISION CAM-61 to work with it. And it wouldn’t send a video signal. I played around with it for hours but no joy. I emailed tech the next day to ask for advice and went over the procedure. The responding email was…. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Here are a list of alternatives : CAM-52 / CAM-54 / CAM-55 / Kind regards. Karim He told me to return the camera…. And then I could order the CAM-52 which would work. The company I bought it off would not accept the return as it was not their fault. So Karim passed me onto sales to resolve. I spoke to Josh Beddow (uk sales manager) and explained, all sounded positive and likely to get sorted. I was nearing the end of the day and he said he would be in-touch the following day. Nothing happened, I waited a few days, then emailed for an update. Nothing, then nothing again, rang, “he’s out the office,back tomorrow, I’ll get him to call” nothing. Tuesday 26th I receive an email from him basically saying, they never advised me on that camera and are not willing to help in anyway. 16days after saying he will call me back the next day! I get blown off, with incorrect information. I sent the details of date and time of when I made the call to them to double check the items I was ordering were correct. I wouldn’t have ordered a camera they didn’t recommend…that was the whole purpose of me checking and the 16minute call. I paid £76 for a camera which is useless to me and I have to purchase another one on top of that at £50. Asked it to be escalated, but again no response. Not holding my breath.

I bought a Sony android head unit with Connects2 mounting buttons and infodapter. Had various challenges with the installer but once we were on the phone connects2 clarified things immediately. Great service and products feel very good. My only suggestion would be that the documentation could be a bit better and leads could be a tad longer.
