I visited your store in Gunwafe Quays Portsmouth as I had seen a garment in your Worcester when I was on holiday, which wasn't available in my size. The member of staff checked and found the size to be available in Guildford the phone line was busy when they phoned. Later I phoned and spoke to Anna, after checking found the sizes I needed to try. I asked if these could be held and I would visit the store the next day, this was agreed. I visited the store today and found the garment fitted so made a purchase and was told I would receive a further 20% off. Of which I was very pleased. I must say I was very impressed at all 3 stores of the helpful friendly and efficient service from the staff I received. And personally thanked Anna for her help when I visited Guildford store .

Had a very disappointing encounter with one of the staff at the store today. Probably the second time I have been to the store in Guildford. Returned a pair of trousers that didn't suit me . I had already tried the 10 and had change to the 12 but still was not happy. So did an exchange. I have brought so many items from this company and have never had a problem of returning anything. Today after examining the items that had original receipt had only been off the hanger once when i tried it on in my bedroom. She scrutinized the garment and said she thought it was marked and had I been wearing it. I was so shocked she asked me that question, not only was it in front of another member of staff, but another customer. What was I expected to say to such a comment, other than deny it. Her attitude was rude and her comment was uncalled for . I have worked in clothing retail and i understand that members of the public can try all kinds of tricks in bringing garments back. But when I pay over 50 pounds or more for items of clothing i don't expect to be asked such a question over a microscopic mark, that not only I couldn't see, but could have so easily have been there before purchase. At the same shop I tried a sweater on which had a pull on the wool and a small hole that put me off purchasing it, which then makes me question quality control in the store itself . I feel unless there is something obvious a stain or significant tear your staff she not only be careful before they challenge the customer but have a diplomatic approach . I probable spend over a 100 pounds every couple of weeks at a White Stuff Store or internet, but I won't be going back tot he Guilford branch again.
