Updated Review (One year later): Used Grainge again to sort my motor out. Again, him and his men were bang on. Job done to a tight timescale and priced properly. Highly recommended. Grainge is an absolute legend and I’d highly recommend him. Solid workmanship, good advice, very reasonably priced and a sound bloke.
My daughter’s car took her car at navigation auto centre at recommendation of my son , she was not disappointed. Richard went above and beyond and didn’t fleece her either. Properly checked the car , resolved issue fast and even dropped the car back at our house. Would highly recommend this local independent business , I won’t be going anywhere else. Reasonably priced too.
Excellent service , goes above and beyond to help . Very friendly service from all members and always pleasant to talk to and both mechanics are very knowledgeable and put you at ease and show you what is wrong before dealing with the car . Would definitely recommend their services.
Absolute shocking place. Took car 9am Saturday morning for service he didn't touch car and locked it in garage all weekend, I had to get a taxi to work and back and pick up my car Monday at 2pm not done SID said his mechanic didn't show but why didn't he ring me Saturday and tell me to fetch the car and rebook it in... He said he forgot PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE it's a joke of a place. I gave 1 star cus SID is an old chap but I think time has caught up with him.

Iam using this garage many times. The owner is realy kind and i know him for ages. Papa's garage is old fashioned with old fashioned owner but that what makes it realy good. He's got everything to get your car running also can repair body damadges. Plus all the years Iam came here he always knocked the price down for things and got me free bies. Great guy
The best garage you will find! If you're looking for a highly competent, reliable, affordable and totally trustworthy (and non-patronising!) mechanic, go to Sid and his team at Universal Vehicle Services. I have lived in several different counties over the past 15 years and despite best efforts, I've never found another mechanic I can totally trust, who doesn't charge extortionate money - so we still take our cars back to Universal for all MOTs and servicing and repairs! Highly recommended! (my first google review - but sometimes you just need to share when people do great work).
