If i could give no stars i would they do deserve any. I booked my car for full service 16th apr 2025and instead of taking same day I got it on 02 may 2025 because the idiots instead of servicing they done mot and they failed it because i had an indicator issue on my headlight anyways I had time to fix it before my mot expired. In the beginning they said they gonna fix everything and I am not paying nothing because they done MOT without my permission they couldnβt find the problem they said. And I realised that they didnβt have any clue two weeks past and didnβt fix my car and they told me to by a new headlight and told me that I have to pay the part, I was struggling to go to work because I didnβt have a car and they didnβt care to fix it they didnβt pay any compensation or anything, finally i went and got my car and brought it back home after all of this I called a mobile mechanic and he fixed my car in 2 hours ,I never gonna do this mistake taking my car to this garage even the managers they are unprofessional

Brought my car in last week as suspected coil spring had broken. Was told halfway through the day that a part wasn't coming in till later that day (fine, not a problem) and was told to call them back to agree that I can leave the car there over night. I called 8 times over the space of 2 hours and never once did they answer. I then headed down to the centre to ask. They informed it would be done on Friday by midday and they would call me. Around 1pm I had not heard anything, so after trying to call multiple times again to no avail I headed back to the centre. They then told me "Sorry, my bad, I should have called" to tell me they had to wait until Saturday for someone to come do the required work due to a complication. I was unavailable to collect on Saturday, so they promised me they would be in early at 7:30am on Monday, and I should just knock on the shutters to get the attention of someone, as I was busy from 8:00am onwards and would not otherwise be able to collect during standard opening times. I stood there for 15 minutes (after getting ANOTHER taxi) and no-one answered the knocks. Finally after 5 days I was able to collect my car on the Tuesday. The communication from here has really gone downhill and I will not be using this Halfords again - will try another one that is slightly further away. Been a complete inconvenience from the beginning, with a complete lack of communication, that really needs to be addressed.

Out of sheer convenience and owing to my circumstances at the time, I had an MOT and service done at this Auto Centre. Upon leaving, I noticed that a new rattling sound was present that hadn't been there before. I took it back to the centre and one of the mechanics drove it around and said that everything was fine. Over time this progressively became worse and the car was later deemed as not being roadworthy and the part required more expensive than the vehicle itself. I'm not sure what was done to subsequently cause this but please listen to your customers, as this caused a great inconvenience for an otherwise perfectly operating and reliable vehicle.

Can not recommend as it was unprofessional Booked appointment for tyre check. When arrived at my time, the entrance is busy. Make me to park on a pavement and wait around 30 mins without doing anything while i have my booked appointment.no one provide any guidance or even speak. I asked the employee there what will be the next step, replied leave the key and couple of hours, come to collect. I said it is just check the tyre depth and I have my appointment and it is just 2-3 mins max to check the depth. However, they do not listen saying sorry, we are busy. I have to leave without doing anything plus wasting my time. My question is this the way to deal with people? I will not do any service at yours or trust you.

I brought my car for full service on 11.02.25 at Halfords garage 113-115 Holloway Head, Birmingham B1 1QP. Got my car back only after 25 hours. When I brought my car, I asked person from reception to check where and why antifreeze leaking. It wasn't done, because they even didn't topped up antifreeze. Nor sure about oil change too, because didn't received any receipts about service and which job been done. Also every time when people leave honest negative reviews, they send you automatic reply with dome useless link, pretending that they ready and interested to keep dialog, so all issues will be resolved. But it's link for for website and general queries. Before I used to have a better opinion about Halfords. Hope they will improve

Booked in to get my MOT done and was told they couldn't test my car due to an excessive oil leak (which is fair enough). I asked the guy at the desk when collecting my car if he could recommend anywhere that could help sort out the leak and he said "no not around here, take it to a dealers" and implied that my car is at a total loss because it was "so bad". Took my car to a trusted garage today and the oil leak was fixed within a few hours and only cost Β£300 (including labour) and they also got my MOT done for me as well. Be vary wary about what the people at this garage tell you and get a second opinion if they tell you your car is finished. In all honesty I felt as though they just could not be bothered.

They checked my brakes and said they are absolutely spot on. However, a month later MOT mechanic found out that my rear brakes are really worn and near metal! Three days later brake lights came on. I would never ever go to this place since they donβt understand the importance of what they are doing and would put you and your beloved ones at real risk.
