   Had my car booked in for over a week for today. Upon arriving the gate was closed, I rang the number and left a message. I was called back, answered the phone to ‘yeah?’ I said I am outside I have an appointment for today to which he repeatedly replied we don’t work on Sundays. I said well you have booked me in for today, again I received ‘ we don’t work on Sundays’. I said what am I meant to do, ‘I don’t know just leave the car there’ meaning outside the gate and I said where am I supposed to leave the keys and he wanted me to leave them with a random man inside the yard? No help at all, I would never recommend! Not a reliable garage and wouldn’t trust the work they do!

   Water was pouring from the bottom of my Rover 75 so parked on a Sainsbury's carpark before I had chance to phone the AA one of the mechanics from Shepherds motor company was going shopping there and asked if my car had broke down.He phoned his garage booked me in,car was recovered and fixed next day(water pump and timing belt).Rapid repair at good price well done.These guys are good and genuine and even show you the parts they have replaced.Try them.Dave(Rover 75 2003 1.8 owner)

   I had a report from AA to replace a damaged wet timing belt, leaving me with no car to get to work. After a kind neighbour lent me a car I rang to get some quotes and came across this gem of a garage. Best quote, got car in almost straight away and the most amazing customer service through the whole work. Even a small hiccup where the car had to go back for a short time wasn’t too much for these amazing people. They definitely will have my service again.

   Unreliable! Was booked in for 11am and then told we wouldn’t be able to have the car looked at today as they were really busy up until 5pm. Was then asked to book in on another day. Why give a date and time if you have no intentions on sticking to it?! The car was booked in months ago! Wouldn’t recommend!!! Waste of time.

   Took a day off work for a car health check here, only to have to cancel because they had other jobs to do and wouldn’t be able to do it till the evening or another day. But we had already travelled far to get there - wasn’t going to travel all that way again.

   Another splendid job from the team at SMC - a fantastically fitted fitted tow bar at a fraction of the cost of Halfords, excellent value for money - they even assembled the bike rack for me - these guys go above and beyond! I have used this garage a number of times over the years. The service here is faultless. Engine diagnostics are prompt and accurate, estimates are spot on and the work is carried out to a higher standard than any dealership could ever hope to achieve! Don't waste money on expensive dealer services that will only be conducted by an apprentice - here you have the vast expertise and knowledge of Ian and his dad Bob. More recently SMC saved my wife a small fortune by sorting out the paintwork on her leased Q5. Audi leasing would have hit here for literally thousands for the chips, scratches and knocks on the car - SMC managed to sort the whole lot for under £300 !!! Before returning your lease car let SMC check it over for you - you will not be disappointed. In all - I cant sing their praises enough, SMC now take care of my work van, the family campervan and our family workhorse the Volvo, soon I'll be asking them to service the narrowboat :) Outstanding service all round !
