Great service, great bunch of lads, fixed the issue with my central locking on my ford focus. Will definitely use these guys in future, and will recommend Auto electrics to others

I was recently quoted a huge amount by my regular garage for work to get my car though its MOT. I contacted Auto Electrics on recommendation from a local garage and they were brilliant! They quickly sourced a second hand part saving me £000s, and got my car through its MOT. I spoke to a few people there while my car was in; they were all friendly, helpful and courteous and very professional throughout. I would definitely use Auto Electrics again and recommend them highly. Many thanks to everyone at Auto Electrics for the great service.

I visited Auto Electrics earlier this month after having a poor experience with a mobile auto electrician. My rear electric window had stopped working and the central locking on my door wouldn’t engage. After paying both a call-out fee and for a supposed repair, the problems only escalated — I was then left with the airbag light on and my electric mirror no longer working. After a quick Google search, I decided to call into Auto Electrics in person. They asked me to leave the car with them, and within just two hours they had fixed everything — including the issues caused by the previous “professional.” I received a phone call during the process where they explained the faults and costs clearly, so I knew exactly what to expect. As someone who isn’t very technical (lots of car jargon goes over my head!), I really appreciated the way everything was explained in simple terms I could understand. When I collected my car, I was surprised to learn that the person I’d dealt with was actually an apprentice — he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was made to feel welcome from start to finish and I’m very happy with the service I received. I’d highly recommend Auto Electrics and will definitely return in the future if I have any issues. Thank you!

Used this place before with no issues. Took our car in for a dashcam which was hardwired to be removed. Upon collection this had been done fine. However, the rear wiper stopped working on collection, they denied this was due to their work albeit it was working immediately before in the rain. Didn't take a look and didn't offer any further help. Main dealer will be rectifying this and I will apply for all associated costs via small claims court.

I took my van in to sort a problem with the interior lights not going out. They organised it really well and were nice enough guys who served me. After having the job explained I decided to go with the cheaper option they offered but was still charged £288- really not sure why it was so expensive for what they completed. I also have a problem with my side doors locking, but they quoted nearly £600 all in to sort that on top of the £288 I’d already paid for the other repair. The point of my review is don’t be as naive as I was please look around first and get price comparisons as I felt I’ve been ripped off.

Had a problem with my fuel flap which wouldn't open leaving me unable to use my car. These guys took a look the day I called and recognised the urgency and booked me in to get it sorted the next day. Would recommend to anyone having electrical problems with their car

This garage was recommended to me via the car warranty group, I had purchased a 3 yr warranty with them when I brought my Range Rover velar. 3 months after I brought the car, my lower screen which controls the AC & other functions became intermittent and would turn on/off. I took it to these guys who said they would run a diagnostics test which should tell them where the fault lies - they charged me £55 for the test which took 15-20 mins max. This didn’t outline a fault - they told me they would contact ex jlr employee for a second opinion after chasing them up a few days later they told me they would need to run further checks on certain modules of the car to find out where the fault was and to see what parts needed replacing - if there’s a fault with one of the modules why wasn’t this picked up on the diagnostics test? I was told the work that needed to be carried out to ONLY find the fault (not replace anything) would take several hours and they charge just shy of £80 per hour labour! Initially I said let me know how long you think it would take so I know the costs I would be looking at, I was told I’d get a phone call back and that was 2+ weeks ago. I’ve now taken my car to another auto electrician in West Brom and his diagnostic test found the problem within minutes - he managed to fix the problem all whilst I was waiting. Nothing had to be replaced and it was all done within 2 hours. I waited until this issue with my car was resolved before I put out this review so I am able to express with confidence that this garage talks absolute rubbish. If you can’t do a job, you should have just said instead of making me pay for a diagnostics test that you were never going to pursue.
