Very good Sunday lunch here. Nicely presented main with vegetables served separately. Busy popular and sunny restaurant with nice round tables that are good for groups of 4. Wouldn't pay the extra for All the Meats as portion is no larger - you still get 3 slices. Steak pie supposed to come with roast veg but didn't. Was filling enough already.
The food was lovely. Had rustic bread and butter to share, a pasta bowl and pie of the day. The spinach tortellini was so tasty.
Great location, in the winter it has raring fires, in the summer. Amazing outside space along the canal. Fabulous Sunday lunches, and if you want a cocktail - order any of them - they are all fantastic!
Visited today on recommendation. Was not disappointed, first class food, generous portions with excellent presentation. I will be encouraging friends and family to give them a visit. All praise to the chef and his kitchen team. Front of house were courteous while very busy. Minor criticism, three times we had to request drinks. That aside this is a first class experience for a Sunday lunch. Well done to all.
Really good food, the service could be a bit faster and would be nice to have staff check on us in case we need anything. Props to the chefs because the food was amazing!
Excellent quality food , lovely river side setting. Beautifully decorated and welcoming and professional service.
Very friendly family run this beautiful pub and restaurant. The garden is amazing, with lots of unusual seating areas, such as Tiki huts. We were allowed to moor our narrowboat there and enjoyed a sumptuous Sunday lunch. We met some lovely people, and one couple have become firm friends that we will certainly see again. We're looking forward to mooring here again on our return trip.
