We booked last minute for Christmas due to somebody else cancelling and our plans fell apart. The staff were incredibly accommodating from start of booking to leaving. At the pub we were served by Liv who couldnβt do enough for us. The food we didnβt expect much as itβs a self serve carvery but wow actually it was really tasty. A lovely atmosphere all around. Weβve been before for food and itβs very child friendly. Xmas day was no different. Itβs truly a gem of a pub and Liv is a fab gem of a staff member. Also to trolls commenting on the price on fb. Itβs Christmas Day Β£60 pp and kids were a bargain. Worth every penny for no mess stress or cleaning!

Amazing hospitality. 4 years of attending and the service is second to none. There is not one complaint that can be said. I sometimes bring my dog and she loves it. The staff go over and above to accomadate the customers, even when the place is busy. Zach was helpful and speedy on the bar. Highly recommend.

My stay was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazingβevery meal was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were attentive and welcoming, which made the entire visit feel comfortable and enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was relaxing, and all the amenities were well maintained. I truly appreciated the care and effort put into making guests feel at home. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning on my next trip.

The carvery was disappointing in the choice compared to others. Lord Charles had carvery the gravy was like water with a dash of colour. The portions where a good nice. Spikey and Mrs spikey had cowboy burgers where full of flavour and wasn't dripping in fat which is always a good sign. The bacon and burgers where spot on.. I had steak and ale pie with chips and peas good sized portions again. All the food was hot well presented and staff where very welcoming and helpful.

Very spacious both inside & out, children's play area, plenty of parking, a nice canal on one side, a noisy duel carriage on the other side behind the trees. Service was ok, Full English breakfast is average tasting, the Continental selection is very little. Prices are average. I ordered American style hotdog & paid Β£1.50 extra for beef chilli, unfortunately they missed the mustard, ketchup, crispy onions & chopped chives! I wasn't happy with 4 items missing but it was late on, I was hungry, other food was on the table & I didn't want to wait again so I didn't complain.

Brought the family along for Sunday dinner and the Lockkeeper didnβt disappoint! Situated next to the canal it has a lovely beer garden perfect for a warm sunny day. The pub itself is lovely, clean and had a great atmosphere - families, children and people of all ages chatting away. Staff are excellent, really attentive, friendly and always happy to help, I noticed a young man walking around, I think he was the manager) chatting away to people which I thought was really nice - you donβt see that in many pubs! The food was delicious, we all had carveries. Really good value for money, the roast potatoes were to die for and the meat was lovely and tender. Will definitely be visiting again!!

We enjoyed a lovely carvery with huge ,light and tasty yorkshire puddings , well done to the pudding maker . Served to us by a very friendly happy lady. The choice of vegetables was great. The pub itself is well decorated , shabby chic look and plenty of space between tables . It's also dog friendly so if you need somewhere to go with your fur baby this would be a good option. Their seemed to be a varied menu aside from the carvery. Oh and the puddings/ cakes desserts well just delicious.

A Wonderful Christmas Eve carvery with my daughter and her partner. Just round the corner from their home. Clean, love the decorations mixed with local photos, courteous staff, especially the young lad plating the carvery at 2pm. A bit cold for a canalside walk, but we'll be back soon! Thank You!
