First time that I have used this Halfords. All of the staff were helpful, polite and efficient. Would recommend this Halfords highly.
I noticed an issue with my car and called in advance on Christmas Eve, around an hour and a half before closing, to ask if someone could quickly check whether it was safe to drive. The person on the phone wasn’t very friendly but didn’t say it would be a problem. When I arrived, there were four men standing behind the counter who clearly looked ready to leave. I explained that I’d called beforehand, and one of them was reluctantly asked to come out and look at my car, which felt like an inconvenience from the start. The staff member immediately dismissed my concern, telling me the car had “always made that noise,” despite me owning the car for years and knowing this wasn’t the case. He was rude and dismissive, and I was made to feel stupid for raising a safety concern about my brakes before a lot of driving over Christmas. I left feeling upset, which was disappointing given that my previous experiences and MOT here had been positive and I’d recommended this branch to others. I will take back the recommendation I made to the people I spoke to. I understand it was Christmas Eve, but the store was still open until 5pm, and I got there over an hour before they closed. If it was going to be a problem, that could have been made clear over the phone. After this experience, I won’t be using Halfords again and would not recommend it to anyone. I’ve never been made to feel such an inconvenience as a customer before.
Had an MOT and Major Service. Great to deal with, quick and simple. Fixed everything that needed doing. Explained to me before commencing with work. Great job done. Thank you.
I’d been to a couple of other garages who said they couldn’t sort the issue, but the team in Stourbridge got me booked in and fixed it without any hassle. They repaired my suspension and exhaust quickly, efficiently, and at a really reasonable price. It’s been four weeks since the work was done and the car is still driving like new. Really impressed with the service. Highly recommend this garage and their brilliant team
As a car enthusiast who know cars inside out, this would be my advise to all the brethren, Stay away from this branch. Booked in at 11:30 for diagnostics (I had literally given them what needed to be done) Car was not even touched till 5:30 in the evening. Called me that time about needed to be rolled over to the next day. Ok, i agreed, “But please fix the issue quickly as i needed to go somewhere far”. Informed them again of the issues with the car and the things needed to be done. Next morning, called them, was told FAN was the issue and it would need 800 pounds to replace it. It made me literally laugh and cry at the same time. I have checked the fan myself with the multimeter and power source and it was totally fine. Told them about the REAL ISSUE, apologised and went to DORMANT mode again. Whole day passed, no diagnostics, no updates, nothing at all. Booked at the original dealership for the next day and going to get my car from this service and would update this comment about their FUNNY and MISERABLE things that they want to do despite me SHOWING them what the real problem was. Unprofessional and Miserable. Not Recommended at ALL. Would be making a complaint to Halfords.

Went to have my car MOT'd here after using their help and advice for other issues for many years and on both of my cars. Very disappointed in the quote given as was very clear they just wanted to grab every penny they could based on the tone of the service reps. Originally was quoted £700 for an MOT (no service), went in to discuss this and was told it was "likely to be even more" when they started work as "they may break things when trying to fix others" and finally the quote went up and over £1000 for a car with no dash lights and otherwise minimal issues. Took this elsewhere the following week and had the whole car MOT'd and serviced for less than £150. Highly dissatisfied with their greed in this situation, especially given current world circumstances, and I think they could step down off their pedestal once in a while to relate to us who don't run the very latest cars because we don't have thousands to throw at nothing. Do not use this place for MOT.
Always been fine, quick on the service & MOT. Call me as soon as they need to discuss any work to be done . Been going there a few years now, can't complain. Very happy with them. Good service too.
I have always used Oldbury branch but just moved to this area. I didn't need to worry. They were just as friendly and honest. Fab service from these guys. Thank you so much. Will be back for all other work needed in the future!
Needed an oil filter change urgently after another local garage forgot my booking. They were quick and efficient. Took it back for the MOT this week and again an excellent hassle-free service from Halfords.
