It needs closing down this General practitioners . It’s not for purpose. They have nurses running around thinking that they are Doctors .i went in yesterday for my annual flu vaccine and came out having a huge panic attack because the nurse who’s one job it was to do the vaccine , not threatening to stop my medication ( which authorised to me by not a dr and certainly not a nurse ) that if I didn’t do what she was asking of me then she would stop my meds . I’m sure when I tell my consultant about her actions in jan 2026 he will be really happy with that (not )

Terrible experience at this practice. I requested support with an SMI (Severe Mental Impairment) council tax form, which GP practices are normally expected to complete for patients with mental health conditions. Instead of helping, I was told the doctor would not sign it and that I should go private. This left me without the support I need and created unnecessary barriers. Communication is also very poor. Calls often cut off, and when I eventually got through, staff were dismissive and unhelpful. I was even told a follow-up call had been made to me, but I never received one. This is not the standard of care patients should expect from an NHS service, particularly for vulnerable people with mental health difficulties. Patients deserve understanding and support, not excuses and obstacles.

Would not even give the one * absolutely disgusting the length of time I waited for the phone to be answered only to be spoken to by incompetent individuals especially one called Hazera who needs to meet me face to face and have a conversation. Three weeks I waited for a phone call regarding a referral for a wheelchair for my mum after being told by the OT and physiotherapist to call her GP. After the first phone call I was told twice by reception that a referral can’t be made by them which isn’t true as I spoke to the professionals caring for my mum. Georgina who works there is amazing even though she doesn’t work for MD family practice. Currently waiting for the practice manager after speaking to Georgina who confirmed that the GPs do wheelchair referrals. CQC have been notified about the discrimination and negligence my mum has faced.

I can't say much about this surgery because I've never managed to see a doctor in person. I couldn't wear a mask if my life depended on it, yet these people will not change/bend the rules. The ONLY appointment I'm guaranteed would be for injections of the flu or covid variety. Im 61 underweight and have serious medical issues. But haven't been stupid enough to have injections for flu of any origin ever. My mouth bleeds and splits open badly and yet NO MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL wants to know. So I have given up, I will never expect Any care from ANY gp again. We get phone calls and offered anti depressants. We ard just money.

Absolutely disgusting service from receptionist to practice managers to gp. The practice has gone downhill there is no duty of care and no level of professionalism. Borderline neglectful to patients first can never make an appointment and when you go out of desperation the staff aren’t competent enough to deal with request.

As another reviewer has said, this surgery has gone downhill. I remember when Danson had a small practice where his wife was the nurse. It was a lot better in those days. The doctor and the nurse actually cared! Nowadays, you get messed up appointment/prescriptions and rude young receptionists and nurse, who have a "don't care" attitude. The nurse I saw for the first time was incredibly arrogant with absolutely no manners in the way she speaks to patients

I booked a appointment this morning without any trouble. The receptionist was very nice and professional. The Anp called me at the exact time I was advised at the time of booking. She was very polite and helpful. I've been registered with this practice for more than 3 years and always received good service.

This surgery has really gone downhill recently. I have been with them for over 10 years. The first choice doctor is never available. He is either on holiday nowadays or doing something else. However the second doctor is always available. It shouldn't be called "Danson" Family Practice anymore as the Danson I got to know as my doctor over the years is never available. It usually takes about 3 weeks, every time, to see him in person. Also, it feels like he wants you out the door as soon as you walk into his surgery. Nowadays, I feel uneasy describing my ailments to him, as I feel like it's a race against time.
