Syed at the hive has been fantastic. During a very worrying and distressing time for me he has been so supportive and gone over and above to help me. I cannot thank him enough, he is a credit to the hive team. I highly recommend.

Best GP I've been with the doctors are caring and compassionate when going to see them .The receptionit's aren't like your normal receptionists whom think they are doctors .At the hive they allways go above and beyond and really on the ball . Would recommend to anyone shame other GP can't be like this practice .

The Hive is an absolutely outstanding medical practice. The admin staff are really helpful and approachable and the clinical team are superb. It is not a case of roulette and hoping for the one good GP, they are all very good and I can say Drs Thomson, Peet and Malpas really understand women's health and go out of their way to make you feel heard and genuinely care.

Best GP practice I have ever had. I have had to start giving a lot of blood over the last year after a diagnosis and I wanted to say how friendly, caring and considerate Alex is when you go to see her to give blood. A genuine happy person who brightens your day up, even when you are going through something terrible. Suzy is also lovely and is able to cheer you up when giving blood. All round great practice and friendly staff

Best GP practice I’ve been registered with and I’ve been registered with several in the area. The appointments can run late at times but when it’s your turn to see the GP they always make sure they take the time to address your concerns and don’t rush you. They seek to get to the bottom of any issues rather than fob you off and take the time to come up with a plan that you’re happy with. All staff members have been friendly and seem to genuinely want to help. I’ve never struggled to get an on the day appointment for urgent issues. Very grateful to have a practice locally that seems to still care about you as an individual and I recommend them to anyone looking for a GP.

One certain receptionist, as others have stated is awful to deal with. She is confrontational, seems to want to cause an argument with you by being extremely petty about the most trivial stuff and then hangs up on you after being on hold for 45 minutes, leaving you really frustrated and annoyed. This is after they forget to put my prescription through as they do almost every week. There is one receptionist who is great if you ring up at the right time to catch him, he sorts out whatever problem you have and he does it while having a great attitude and in a friendly manner, for that I'll leave 2 stars because he is the only redeeming factor of that GP. That one receptionist I never want to deal with again, and I will put the phone down if I get her. That one receptionist is great, but one is horrible and the other needs retraining, and can also be iffy to deal with too, not the best but at least not confrontational like the other nasty receptionist, who clearly hates her job and should find a new one where she isn't dealing with people, because she has 0 people skills.

The NHS in general is crumbling at present and this is very much how the practice feels. I don't blame them, they must be under enormous pressure, but it can be a 6 week wait for a none urgent appointment. Trying to get through on the day is just a cattle market and their can easily by 8 or 9 people in front of you in the phone queue. Again, I blame all this on 13 years of political mismanagement rather than the surgery itself. The doctors do their best, the practice manager is lovely and always willing to help with issues, and the majority of receptionists (with one notable exception) are very helpful and understanding. We always pray that we don't get that one particular receptionist when we call up as she can be rude, officious, confrontational, unhelpful, and sometimes gives the wrong information, hence the loss of 2 stars from our review. Frontline staff and their attitudes matter very much to a practice and I cannot for the life of me think why she is allowed to continue making the practice look bad as others have commented. Still, thanks must go to others on the team, some who probably work for a pittance, for keeping a cheery demeanour in such a difficult job.

Disgraceful practice with lying staff who are more interested in covering up their receptionists wrongdoings than in their duty of care to their patients. Avoid at all costs.

The doctors who own this surgery are great! However the receptionist acting as a doctor left me in tears today, I have a chest infection and flu, I called at exactly 8am to be told they are only doing apps over the phone, but they had all gone, I explained that even just a minute phone call so I could get some antibiotics would be amazing, as I’m very unwell and have an 8 month old baby she was very condescending and basically told me to go to a and e with my child if I wanted some antibiotics, absolute joke no compassion or people skills at all
